The purpose of the "Giles Free Speech Zone" is to identify problems of concern to the people of Giles County, to discuss them in a gentlemanly and civil manner, while referring to the facts and giving evidence to back up whatever claims are made, making logical arguments that avoid any use of fallacy, and, hopefully, to come together in agreement, and find a positive solution to the problem at hand. Meet the Candidates With The Giles Patriots

A good turn out at the Recreation Center tonight for the candidates from the 6th and 7th districts..... wait a minute I was the only candidate from the 7th district commission race that showed up along with Mr. Yant from the 7th district seeking a seat on the Charter Commission. Mrs Houston and Mrs Faulkner were there as 6th district candidates for commissioner and Mrs Smith for the Charter Commission. Mrs Greene and Mrs Wade were there running unopposed also present were Mrs Vanzant and Mr Stewart. There were several other candidates from other districts Mrs Laviana, Mr Morris and Mr Spivey spoke briefly. There may have been others there but I can't recall anyone else at this moment, if I missed someone please correct me. Allen Barrett
