The purpose of the "Giles Free Speech Zone" is to identify problems of concern to the people of Giles County, to discuss them in a gentlemanly and civil manner, while referring to the facts and giving evidence to back up whatever claims are made, making logical arguments that avoid any use of fallacy, and, hopefully, to come together in agreement, and find a positive solution to the problem at hand. A Major Blunder In Todays Newspaper

There was a major blunder in todays issue of the Pulaski Citizen's special section on candidates for office. In the section where my ad was a terrible misquote was made. Mr. Manke has assured me that the correction is posted on the paper's website but I am very upset that it will not have wide distribution before the early voting starts.

The paper stated that "I had spoken out in favor of a property tax "increase" for seniors".

What it should have stated is that "I had spoken out in favor of a property tax "FREEZE" for seniors".

Anyone wishing to can call Mr. Manke at the newspaper 363-3544 and he will verify this error.
