Commissioner Jackson Taken to St. Thomas Hospital

Commissioner Stoney Jackson arrived this morning for the County Legislative Meeting and after walking up the stairs became very flushed and short of breath. His blood pressure, was very high when taken by Ambulance Director Roy Griggs. When pains began to radiate across his chest and into his shoulder and arm even Commissioner Jackson had to finally agree that he needed some medical care and agreed to be taken to Dr. Haney's office where it was decided he would go to St. Thomas for over night observation. Approximately an hour ago I was told that he was resting well and vitals were getting back to a less critical level.
I'm sure everyone will want to offer up their prayers for Stony and his family as this is a very stressful situation. We wish him well and pray there will be nothing serious found in the observation and testing.

Yes, this is an excellent opportunity for Christian people to unite in prayer for Stoney and for his family.

Oh please. Why do you have to try getting something started and especially on a thread like this?
Have you absolutely no shame?
Anyone can pray who wants to.

Why cannot everyone, Christian or otherwise, pray for the recovery of Mr. Jackson? If by saying that all of us should pary and think kindly of and for Mr. Jackson how is that "starting something"? Or, as you seem to suggest ... Only Christians, and only those who are gentlemen, are allowed to pray for and think kindly of their fellow citizens?

Who said only Christians and gentlemaen could pray for Stoney? Why are you so insistent on causing trouble. YOU are the one who changes the thread topic. I think you really need a job. Why don't you go apply for the job opening wab started a thread about?

I think it was because of 11:42's exclusion of any one other than Christians aligning themselves together and praying for Stoney.

It seems WKSR don't care about reporting anything.

You always get your ingormation from this blog before WKSR tells it. Maybe they get their news from the blog.

Why don't you call Stoney's wife or even Barrett and see if Barrett made it up?

I was there and Barrett reported what happened accurate. The guy from the paper was there and so was the tv people. Looks like Barrett is the only one interested or able to get the news out to regular folks. Thankks Mr Barrett

Prayers for Stoney and his family. I have known Stoney Jackson since around 1983-84, when I coached his boys in baseball. Stoney is a good man and a good friend. Please stop all the bickering and let this be a topic that helps bring good thoughts and prayers for Stoney. Get well soon, Stoney.....your friend Darrell "Tuff" Armstrong.
