Reader request topic: Firing of Richland Coach & Teacher

This topic ruffled a whole turkey full of feathers. Should Miss McMasters be investigated by the school board?

After running off one of the best math teachers in the past several years at Richland, what has he been replaced with and is there a shortage of math teachers now in the system?

Maybe someone should ask the teacher or his students what he did when he was told he would not have a coaching job the next year. He decided if he could not coach he would not teach therefore he stopped teaching! He lost himself the job.

He was not told he did not have a teaching job but that he had not coaching job. If he cared about his students he would have taught them. That is what he was getting a salary for the coaching was but supplemental. All of those students were not athletes so why should they have had to suffer. All of his students did not take up for him!

Since this is an old issue and the guy is gone can this be deleted. I think it needs to be replaced with how many bloopers Kathey Norman can make at each meeting or how many times Jackson will try to run the meetings. would make for a good running tally.

I agree this is an old issue, however, I think the question about Ms. McMasters being investigated is a good one. The lady is very inefficent as an administrator and should be fired just like she fires others. She is never at work, and when she is, she just sits in her office and never comes out of it. I don't think I've seen her more than twice since Jan.3. As a student, this is a bad example to all of us who are required to attend school regularly. If she is supposed to be an example of a boss, I dread going into the work force.
