Did I Lie About The Poster I Labeled "An Enabler Of Wrongdoing"?
Sometimes it just don't pay to leave town for a few days especially when you return and find a person who continuously asks others to refer to him as a "Christian Gentleman" and claims to never call people names has made several posts where he refers to me as a liar. This absurd claim is justified in the mind of the enabler simply because he says it is. "There never was an enabler if you are referring to me. That is a lie allen barrett told about me" has now appeared in several posts from the enabler. The problem I have with this, and according to the posts a number of others also have the same problem, is the fact that the enabler never provides anything to support his claim. Not once has he provided anything other that it's a lie because I say it's a lie in support of his claim.
The question is why would I simply make up something and publish it knowing that if it can't be proven it would be used to destroy the credibility I so value? Here is my reasoning in support of my belief that I did not lie nor was I inaccurate when I labeled this person "an enabler of wrongdoing".
The term enabler refers to one that enables another to achieve an end; especially one who enables another to persist in self-destructive behavior, (as substance abuse), or behavior inconsistent with what's normally acceptable, by providing excuses or by making it possible to avoid the consequences of such behavior.
By continuing to support a person who has been caught and exposed as a liar the enabler supports that behavior. When the County Executive was caught in a lie about her involvement in changing the rules for distances between places that sell alcohol and churches, schools or public gathering places he continued to make excuses for her and deny it even happened.
When the lie was exposed about the need for the budget to be passed last year on that particular day or "the ambulances would have to be parked"; the rescue squad could not respond"; "teachers and other county workers would not get paid", the enabler continued to deny every aspect of the situation. Even after documents were provided that disproved the accusations of the County Executive, the ambulance director and the budget director the enabler still sought to deny the truth revealed by those documents. Whenever there is any criticism of an enablers friend the enabler tries to change the subject and take the heat off the subject thus allowing the wrongdoer to continue unabated.
When the video, "I'm a county commissioner, what you gonna do about it", of Commissioner Harwell was being seen by thousands of people the enabler was denying it even happened later he modified his position by claiming it wasn't Harwell's fault he was provoked into defending his wife. It was a matter of what are you going to believe what you see with your own eyes or what someone tells you?
I could list a number of other very specific examples of how this person has enabled wrongdoing and attempted to enable wrongdoing but you get the point.

I happen to be a Christian gentleman who does NOT engage in the promotion of wrongdoings. Knowing that about myself proves, at least to me, that you are telling a lie. Why can't you just accept that? I know you will never ap[ologize for starting that lie, but that's Ok. Just stop it.
I never said Terry Harwell didn't behave as he did. I would probably have done worse had someone insulted my wife. And of course he was provoked. And of course you had to put it on this blog for all to see.

Wrong. My response did just the opposite. It proved one of two things. Either you are barrett or his buddy who keeps promoting the lie that I enable wrong. If you two woulod stop it, I would never mention it again. I have made that offer before, but neither of you can seem to resist stirring it further.

You are patently ridiculous. If you were a Marine, you would not be as arrogant and idiotic as you are. Your former branch of service means nothing to anybody but you. The only way it would matter to me is if you did call yourself "Gunny" and then we find out that you are truly the pathetic loser you are. As far as telling a lie, you do. When you say you do not enable wrongdoing. You do. You defend those who do wrong, you defend those who lie to their constituents, and you lie to yourself. So get over it. Deal with the fact that you are the least popular person on the blog, and if it came down to you and Barrett running for office, you would both lose. By the way, if you were a Marine, you would be proud enough to say so. I am not, but I have worked with enough Marines to know that they are proud of their service. I think the most telling is the one wherein someone is posting very harmful things about Dean Glossup, and those posts are allowed to remain up for all to see. You say that I will oppose the one you admire, regardless of the issue. Well, that's not entirely true, but I will humor you on that one. I have said many times that my problem with barrett has nothing to do with his opinions and positions. No, it has to do with his arrogance, condescension, name-calling, and troublemaking in general. I find it hard to believe that a person with your intelligence (mind like a steel trap) cannot recall the times I have made mention of this.
With regard to Dean Glossup, are you of the opinion that the posts accusing him of adultery are benign and fit topics to discuss in a public forum? What if you were the victim? Would you agree with me that the comments made could cause serious problems in his marriage? What about his extended family? What if someone got a rumor started about your you or a member of your family? Do you find it the least bit troubling that allen barrett has left those posts up for all to see? He of all people should know how injurious and damaging those comments could be. But you know what I think? OI believe he(barrett) is mad at Dean and therefore must be punished. Lastly, I would like to approach your throne to discuss the lie allen barrett started on me that I enable wrongdoings. And, regardless of what I say in my defense, there are a couple of people who insist on keeping the lie going. As for a week without answering to the name, I have told these people repeatedly that I will stop reminding them that it is a lie when they stop telling it. I suppose you were at brain surgery training or a rocket science convention on those days when I offered this to the name-callers. That offer still stands.
The larger question is...are they up to the challenge?

To all the whiners complaining about there being only negative things on this blog there is a very positive thread about Miss Perkins and her recent accomplishment. So far it only has 7 comments and they only came days after it was posted and people were chided for not posting about it.

I'm sorry you feel that I am an idiot, especially since I don't remember ever having any direct interaction with you. I believe if you look back through the posted topics you will see several that are positive and that I have posted dozens of positive statements.
The term "troublemaker" is subjective. What I have sought to do is give a public voice to those who feel they have none, to speak in meetings for those who are unable to attend, and to challenge anything that is easily provable to be wrong. As for respect there are many whose respect I have earned including many who have been opponents of certain issues. Of course there are many who have no respect for me, I am not losing sleep over either situation.
No, I did not have a child attend the Richland prom; I didn't have a child who was refused the opportunity to try out for the Richland Cheerleaders; I didn't have any property within the established distances to sell alcohol; I don't depend on the county to dispose of my dead animals; I will not be directly impacted by county wide zoning; at least thus far I have no problem paying my utilities or property taxes, does that mean I should have no voice in those matters?
Unless you have had an abortion does that prevent you from having an opinion on the right or wrong of the matter?
There are many topics that are posted to this blog that are suggested by readers. I do not post topics submitted by unidentified individuals or those easily proven to be false. I do promise anyone submitting a topic that their identity will be kept confidential if they chose so. If you submit a topic not falling into those two categories I will be glad to post it.

The reason I call you an idiot is because for the last several years I have read your letters to the editor, and now read some of the posts on this blog. It appears that you have tried to work against the establishment rather than work with them. If you have great ideas about changing the county, you must have been expressing them in the wrong way for all this time.
I notice that you didn't win a commission seat in your district. Apparently you couldn't get your message across in a way that people could understand, or they didn't like what you had to say. Either way, the turmoil that followed with you trying to get them to give you the seat was not positive for you.
It seems that you will never understand that crying about everything that happens to you, that isn't in your favor, makes you look weak.
I will come to a meeting soon to talk face-to-face if you like. I am a logical thinker, and am good at keeping a level head.

Someone called me the enabler. With everyone hiding behind anonymous it is impossible to know who said it. Where is Mr. Barrett? Why has he not spoken?
