Two Question For Which One Answer Will Suffice
Question One.... What happened to the committee appointed to develop rules for the creation of subdivisions so that the county doesn't get stuck paving roads for private individual benefit and profit?
Question Two.... What happened to the committee appointed to explore and develop rules and enforcement of those rules dealing with the nuisance, unhealthy, unsightly, unacceptable and dangerous situations on private property affecting those who live in that area, laws?
Answer.... NOTHING.
After much outrage over the county highway department, not by their choosing but by existing rules, being manipulated into paving, at county expense, the roads in a housing development under construction all sorts of talk was made to correct and prevent such an abuse from ever taking place again. What happened that nothing was done? Why does the county still sit exposed to the possibility of this same experience being repeated?
Why when the Tennessee Code Annotated makes it perfectly clear that counties can establish and enforce nuisance laws, that prevent such things as the huge accumulation of garbage, junked vehicles etc on private property, animals from running loose in communities, etc, we can't even get an appointed committee of commissioners to meet and discuss the matter?
It seems we have a problem with hands out for gimme, mouths full of smiles but no backbone for doing things necessary for a better county.

That's good ole Giles County for ya! Keep electing idiots to our county commission. I have lived a lot of places in my day and this is the most backward city, community and county I have ever seen. When will people of this county wake up and realize that it is "us" the taxpayer that time and time again is hoodwinked into paying for unnecessary expenses we are not responsible for? We don't have very many elected officials that are looking out for us. Most are looking for ways to work the system and benefit themselves and their loved ones all on the back of the taxpayer. Remember this the next time election rolls around... a kind smile and gentle handshake while asking for your vote does not mean they are going to represent your best interest. It's time we have better representation. Support a candidate next election that has a spine and a brain!

Because mismanagement of funds by those we elect, and entrust a fiduciary responsibility are about to screw us all. There is no way to avoid it. I have lived here over 40 years and my parents lived here over seventy years and your recollections of the past are very different from theirs and mine. They remember when more city business was conducted over the poker games at the fire hall than at the city hall. They remember when county officials could call the highway dept. and have their driveway paved at county expense. They say things are better now in some ways but worse in some other ways. I'm not going anywhere this is my home but I sure as hades am not going to keep taking the abuse.
There is a lot of us lived here all our life and not happy with the way some things are going one.

You ask when will I stop telling the lie that you enable wrong doing and /or evil? I have answered this question before but it’s obvious that you were not satisfied with the answer. First of all I have not referred to you as an enabler of evil. Evil, to me is very different from wrongdoing. Evil is morally reprehensible even sinful while wrongdoing is more in tune with improper behavior. An example would be using God’s name in a disrespectful manner as opposed to using a neighbors name in a disrespectful manner. The first is sinful while the later is merely wrong. Of course there are situation where an overlap is experienced but I prefer to keep the two terms separated by severity.
The second thing is I have not lied, when I referred to you as an enabler of wrongdoing. I have given very clear examples wherein you made excuses and even tried to justify wrong behavior. I have continually asked, as have others for you to simply tell why it’s inaccurate to refer to you as an enabler of wrongdoing, to this moment you still have not given one reason why it’s incorrect to refer to you as an enabler. Now if you were to start a lie that I was a pedophile it would be no different than when you started the lie about me being a liar. I would simply address the claim and offer evidence that proved it was untrue. I suppose that’s a difference in us, I use evidence to support what I say while you rely on your feelings to defend something. For me feelings, the heart is deceitful, are not trustworthy in the face of factual evidence. For me it’s as simple as a man leading a dog who tells me it’s actually an elephant, I am more inclined to believe what I see rather than what I’m told.
As for your comment about being a hypocrite, it’s obvious you know much more about that than I do. Self examination is always a worthwhile activity if one is able to do it with honesty. Having such a slanted judgmental attitude, as you continually show seems to be one of the major criticisms Jesus had of the Pharisees.
As for liking or disliking what you say and deleting it so far you haven't said anything that was really worthy of my expending the energy to like or dislike it.

Hold on 7:26. After posting this thread I only posted two other times booth in response to the direct accusation of being a liar. While I admit my posts were not directly related to the topic they were, I believe, indirectly related through the connection of credibility.
There have been few times in the past couple of months where I have responded.... personal attacks have been ignored for the most part but there comes a time when the record must be set straight. Romans 14:23 states, "For whatsoever is not of faith is sin" KJV requires the reading of the whole chapter in order to not misunderstand and pervert the meaning of one half sentence.
This chapter was about the judging of others for believing differently from another in matters of no great importance.
