I don’t know about you, but I know Adam has never hit a pothole on East College Street, whereas he can’t say the same about Sunnyside Drive near the square.
If elected, Adam has a very simple plan to put Pulaski back on the map. By simply lowering the sales tax rate, it will encourage citizens to spend their money inside the city rather than outside the state in some cases. The increase of sales tax revenue will, after Sam Davis Park is paid off, go towards recruitment of businesses to Pulaski by offering reduced property tax rates, much like how Spring Hill enticed GM. The increase in competition will help to lower prices across the board for merchandise you buy on a daily basis, putting more money in your pocket.
But most importantly, if elected, Adam promises not to become an embarrassment to the city of Pulaski. If confronted by a concerned citizen, he will not shove them down; instead, he’ll listen to them. Adam will listen to you, as well. On Election Day, please think back on the last four years. Do we want all the same people elected again?
Mr. Hughes, I feel obligated to fill the public in regarding your behavior and hate-filled obsession with this family. What you fail to mention is a multitude of your actions leading up to the chili cookoff, post election, and sadly, in continuation today. You attempt to appeal to the public as a victim; picked on and bullied by elected officials. You fail to mention how you camped out in front of Vicky's place of employment every morning for over a month prior to the cookoff in order to yell obsentities as she tried to enter the building. Nor do you mention that you would actually hide in the corridor of the business next door and wait for Vicky to exit her office to continue your tirade. After the cookoff, you chased Vicky's then four year-old grandaughter with a video camera yelling, "I'm gonna shoot" on a busy downtown sidewalk. Terrified, this child ran across the street, into the back corner of a nearby clothing store, and huddled under clothes. Hope the public checks facts on that. There was a police report filed, plenty of witnesses, and demands of that video of the child be confiscated from you. The police chief even warned you to leave this family alone that day... that you were taking things too far. Many more episodes like these from that 'upstanding citizen', Mr. Hughes has been the reality of this family for years now. Yet, still not satisfied, you tried to take your case to the D.A. and almost every attorney in town to sue Terry. They each told you the same thing - that you had NO case. Then, you decided the Grand Jury was your best option. The public should note that they also threw the case out. To this day, videos at the Annex building have caught you waiting on Terry and following him around the building. My question to the public is this. How much of this insane and obsessive behavior would you tolerate? Would you protect the people you love from a man hell- bent on verbally and physically attacking and taping every member of your family? No need to guess who I am. I am the mother of that terrified child Mr. Hughes chased. I am the daughter who is sick of the lies you and Mr. Barrett like to tell. Oh yes, I am aware that I've been the target as well on this trashy blog (which, by the way, Mr. Barrett your posts concerning me in the past were blatant lies that I should've taken legal action against you for). Upon hearing through the grapevine of Mr. Hughes' most recent posts, I felt that the public should know the real sequence of the events, rather than just the ones you want shown. We learned a long time ago that this site is filled with half-truths and exagerrated claims (at best) that some like to say are 'facts'. I am also aware that IF my post is allowed to remain, the attacks will be directed at me and lies will flow just like the hatred and bitterness. After all, that is the norm on here. Don't expect me to respond to the comments after I post this; I'll return to ignoring this blog and the ignorance on it. My time is better spent making a positive impact in society rather than sitting on this blog griping, whining, and reading the shady 'facts' on it. Lastly, Mr. Hughes, it seems to me that your time would be better invested in your business and making it appear to be more than a dirty run-down establishment than blaming council members for it's lack of customers.
Get your facts straight 7:18. The daughter and active duty soldier son-in-law live on the Tennessee side of Fort Campbell in Clarksville. Get a map. You will see that almost 3/4 of Fort Campbell lies on the Tennessee side of the border. Also, the couple visits Pulaski very often. It is their home. I'm a vet myself. When I was stationed in Hawaii, I absentee voted in two Giles County elections. Shouldn't we who serve this nation and our immediate family members be allowed to vote in our home of record. A federal law gives us this right. If MMC students from all over the country can vote in our races, shouldn't we natives (when stationed away from home) be able to vote in the elections that matter to us (the ones at our HOME)? Ask any veteran, and they will tell you that they agree with me. Quit trying to find anything and everything to complain/gossip about, and worry about your own vote.

I do not mind if your psychotic rants remain on this blog because you are going to have to answer for them and you better be able to prove them. They do not change the truth. Any one who wants to believe what you say is free but they should call the Police Chief or the father of your child and ask either of them if what you claim was in the video. There were other witnesses standing beside me and heard your step-sister call the police and try to make the same and worse claims. They stepped up and told the police your sister was not telling the truth that day so I have all the faith in the world they will do so in a court of law.
I would love to see the videos in the annex of me following Terry around. I bet the only video they have of me any where near him in that building is the day I renewed my tags and I addressed him when I thought I heard him mumble something under his breath. That day I took the stairs and he took the elevator. As far as talking to any attorney about suing the Harwell's, I have not. I talked to a couple of local attorneys about the constitutionality of the laws the city council had written and found them not to be trustworthy. So if they said I did they are liars like you and your family. But since you do not know the facts, I at least feel they did not breach the attorney client privilege. Did the police find evidence to go forward with criminal charges against your father contrary to Vicky's claims? Yes. Terry did not even back up Vicky's claims to the police. He hid behind an attorney and never would interview with the police. Every one heard the accusations made by your mom concerning stalking claims of which there is not one shred of proof and much to the contrary. I believe every one who has seen the video knows exactly what kind of lies your family is capable.
And lastly it seems to me your time would be better spent seeking some good psychiatric help because you are out there.

Ray what are you babbling about. Getting into a football game this year meant running the gauntlet of shaking hands with candidates positioned outside the gates. Smart move for candidates. You get to see thousands of concerned citizens/likely voters. For someone running for a city office it is a ready-made opportunity to avoid going door to door to hundreds of homes.
But if you think that campaign tactic is stupid, then you are certainly entitled to your opinion. You may want to avoid offering advice to candidates, particularly newcomers, though, if you really believe what you say.

Adam was a lazy candidate. He should have been out door-knocking, attending every public event he could and keeping better company than that crazy John Wolf and his wife. One reason he got as many votes as he did is because it is common for people to mark the first three names they see on the ballot under the city council section. He was the third name in the list, so he got marked for the sake of marking someone.
