Can't Address The Election Commission With Out Being On The Agenda?

When the Chairman of the Election Commission demanded that I request to be on the agenda prior to being allowed to speak at a meeting I questioned what the procedure for getting on the agenda was. Mr. Rackley then yelled that I knew the procedures. I had better know what the procedures are because there are no written guidelines for getting on the agenda that are maintained by the Election Commission or the Election Office.

When I asked about the procedures I was told that they follow "Robert's Rules Of Order" when I asked what edition they didn't know.  So if you want to speak or ask a question at an Election Commission Meeting chaired by Mr. Rackley it seems you must be a mind reader with a full knowledge of every edition of "Robert's Rules of Order".

The thing that sort of bothers me is that it seems you only have to be on the agenda if your name is Allen Barrett. Previous meetings have been open for questions and comments from the public. Oh, well guess I should have learned that you can't ask questions if they are hard ones or embarrassing to someone in a "power position".

I don't particularly care for David Rackley, but you have earned the right to NOT speak at meetings.

If you show me one example where I was the first to break the rules of order in a meeting I will agree with you 8:16.

Funny how when Barret asks a question of a person, their response is name calling.

7:38 The person that Barrett asked the question to did not write the response in which you are referencing.
That being said, WAB has lost 3 elections, which should prove the point that the people of his district do not want him representing them.
I could give several examples of disrespect from him at meetings, but him and his sheep would spin it as if he were Jesus.

You're right 7:44, I lost in three elections, proves you can count and pay attention, now with your encouragement I think I'll try to beat a record set by another great Republican, Abraham Lincoln who lost several elections before winning the presidency.
The question is were the people wrong when they failed to vote for him or when they did vote for him?
I believe I'll go over and sign on as a write in candidate. I wonder if you have the same criticism of Jerry Byrant who lost his school board seat but is now running for city council. I guess when you really mess up you should go forward and seek an even higher office. Thanks for the encouragement.

Another great republican?? I believe that you are giving yourself too much credit. Mr. Lincoln was not a divider and he was a professional. And only one person can be elected president. There are three commissioners in each district that get elected. There is a huge difference in the comparison......similar to your Jesus comparisons.
I could be simpathetic for you, and even possibly support you if you came across as one who cared. The problem is that you come across as wanting to be seen.

Lincoln wasn't a divider????????? I'm still laughing at that one. If you check you'll find that a civil war was fought, the only one we've had so far, because Lincoln was elected president.
I don't know about the rest of your comment but based on your idea that Lincoln was not a divider you have an incredible amount of ignorance 10:28

I hope you do run for city council I just can't imagine having Jerry Byrant move from the school board to the city council. After what he did with the schools I thought he'd never show his face again. I think nobody can win on a write in but I hope Mr. Barrett will.

Jerry Bryant Was with Holcomb and Speer in the PES problems and spoke to us like we were fools at the meeting at City Hall.
He screws up the school board!
His intent in the next 2 years is to be Vice Mayor and run for mayor in 4 years. Which will bring Speer and Rackley back in to controlling there puppet.

Barrett has lived on the same street for over ten years.
I don't know how good Barrett would be on the council but I know Byrant would be the same disaster he was on the school board and at PES. He is a yes man right down the line and not very smart unless he just likes working against the people.

I was told on very good authority that Barrett qualified to run for city alderman as a write in. That should make a very interesting race since the I screwed the pubic at PES and School Board Jerry Byrant can't just walk into a seat.

I will vote for Barrett to keep Byrant who helped almost bankrupt PES and messed up the school system even forced his buddy the old director to take more money than he asked for, off the council. Byrant is a yes man of the highest level and I have heard he is the "Christian Gentleman" on the blog.

12:58 - There's another way to look at it. Everytime the people reject Barrett's demand for an accountable government, it certifies their inability to discern truth from error. So let's see if Pulaski will certify their ignorance for the fourth time. And since Pulaski seems to relish governmental depravity, I'm presuming y'all will be FOUR time certified losers.

Great post 7:07 The people have been lied to cheated and treated like simpleminded fools and they continue to vote for those who would continue treating the that way. It's like a wife in an abusive marriage, she gets beat up every week by her worthless husband but has been so psychologically destroyed that she believes not only that she can't do better better. r she don't even deserve. The election proved that the only thing that matters in Giles County is who your family is and if you were born here. The attitude is clearly if you were not born here will always be an outsider; if you are intelligent and truthful we don't want you but we'll take your money.

Lol. So now we blame the voters. You simple minded jealous folks sound just like Barrett with his sour grapes rant on election night.

Actually when We the People speak, we mean what we say.

That's the point 7:50 with less than half the voters voting for Mrs. Vanzant hardly a third of the people in the county elected her. If people would look at the facts of her administration I don't believe anyone but her closest family members and political appointees would have voted for her. Her greatest accomplishment seems to have been in covering up the numerous untruths, lawsuits and scandals.

I was actually referring to your taking the information you get from wiki as fact. If that is the source you use for your argument, it certainly explains why your "facts" are sometimes less-than-factual.

As to the number of votes our esteemed exec got, I couldn't tell you. What I can tell you, however, is that if someone hadn't talked Lindsey into running, the Cap would have beaten her handily. Even eyes blinded by jealously and petulance such as yours could surely see that. When only a third of voters cast their lot for a candidate, it is hardly a resounding victory.

12:13 you need to spend some time actually studying history to see what you don't know. Accepting what you learned in sixth grade as all there is, is a terrible mistake.
There are many things that we are not taught in school like there were other attempts on Lincoln's life, he was actually sort of lazy as a youth and was sold to a neighbor by his father. The riots in northern cities were more numerous and attended by more violence than the draft protests of the sixties and seventies. It was the election of Lincoln that was the final straw that split the nation. Lincoln was no country bumpkin but a political manipulator that could match LBJ in arm twisting.
