County Executive Plain Out Lies During Legislative Meeting
Today when the question was asked by Commissioner Amyett to have the E-911 budget taken out of Resolution 2015-34 "Appropriations to nonprofit charitable organizations" and voted on separately, the County Executive made one of her patented snarls then told a complete outright lie.
She stated, "Whatever E-911 ask the county for we have to give it to them".
The county is obligated to give the same amount as last year. There is no question about that but as far as increasing the contribution it is ENTIRELY VOLUNTARY, plain and simple. The County then when off on some wild story about if they are not given what they ask for they will close up and it will cost the county a lot more. Well, first of all there is no danger in them closing and if they were by some slim chance to close we have the option of joining with Lawrence County to provide the E-911 service. All this was smoke and mirrors to get what she wanted but the fact she straight faced lied is the most egregious thing that happened in the meeting and the saddest part is that most of the commissioners there knew she had lied but refused to challenge her.

This is a very simple problem to correct.
Call the Nashville TV stations and tell them what's going on down here in Giles county.
They will send reporters down who will shove a microphone in front of these crooks and have them on television. Now THAT will be a site.
Then, the TBI will come swooping in and put all of these hillbillies in prison.
Problem solved.

First of all Mike Goode can not account for missing money,second of all there are tworking lawsuits against Him and,E 911 thirdly of course Janet Van sant will give him what he ask for they are crime partners.Why is there a need for three dispatchers a shift.That started when Mike Goode said 911 would be doing EMD dispatch that has never happened and never will people go look at the call volume. It is,a,waste of money.No other facility as small as Giles County has three dispatchers .Do some research its your money he is wasting. He is manipulating you all
2 dispatchers cant do the job proficiently....if there is a fire or a wreck they have EMS, rescue squad, gcsd and/ or ppd possibly pfd if its in city limits. You should tune a scanner in and listen sometimes. Granted there are slow times but this isnt assembly line work. Its steady sometime, slow sometime & overwhelming sometime. But just like everything else on this forum people speaking on what they know nothing about. Thats why only a certain few can post on here so they can manipulate people into believing all the negativity. If this is a "free speech" zone then why cant anyone create a topic. And the email address listed above isnt even a valid address anymore...(or at least when I try to email it comes back with an error). Have fun reading all this crap. Why have so many women at 911 been sexually harassed until they either give in or quit? Hpw many lawsuits have been filed against the director?

E911 is as big a joke as Vansant. Playing favorites instead of objectively looking at problems and lying to cover up her mistakes and criminal behavior has help destroy evey opportunity to progress the county has.

There have been complaints of harassment since the first month Goode took over go speak to some of the employees.It's funny thing if that they all tell same truth.
He and Vanzant have covered up more scandal than Obama. The sad part is t h at we have allowed them to do it.Go ask the people at Ronnies Bar about his behavior he has been banned from going there guess they lie too.I'm sure if he is removed from 911 Vanzants will find him another high paying salart position got keep their pockets lined.
Yeah just call up Lawrence County and just let them know they will now be dispatching for Giles County... Yeah. Sorry. It doesnt work that way. So let me ask you.. when your house is on fire, you have a wreck in the middle of nowhere and you are hurt or Your Mom or Dad is having a heart attack.. Who do you call for help and trust that they can get you the people you need where you need them at the time you need it?

I'm sure 911 begged to merge with the ambulance servie to dispatch for them ( for the same amount of pay) because dispatching with only 2 dispatchers for Pulaski Police Dept., Giles County Sheriffs Dept., Giles County Fire&Rescue, Pulaski Fire, Minor Hill Police Dept., Minor Hill Fire Dept., Minor Hill First Responders, Lynnville Police Dept., Elkton Police Dept. and Elkton Fire Dept. was already so easy... I mean why would they need anymore help?? EMS accounts for a lot of calls. Oh and about the call volume being the same... They still got all EMS calls before the merge but just had to transfer it over to the ambulance service and they took it from there... Now, not only do they take the call but they dispatch it out, give directions, keep them updated on any additional information and keep up with all radio traffic and all their times... Yeah I think they would be just fine with 5 calls going on at once and then a 3 vehicle MVA happens on interstate 65 with 3 people trapped and 2 need airlifted (who do you think gets them to where they need to be?) with just 2 dispatchers on .... Now I dont know about you but I would give them what they need to do their job to help US citizens when we need someone the most. I sure wouldn't want to be put on hold because there was all that going on and only 2 dispatchers there when I found my mother or father was passed out in the floor barely breathing.
You should think before you speak. Find a little more out before you go disputing about something you know nothing about. How about you go put an application in and if you're eligible then try and make it though as much training as you can.... you will be gone before you get through 20 hours because it was to much to learn or you would make it and your views on Giles E 911 would change dramatically.
If any of the allegations were true about Mike Goode he would not still be there and the last time I checked he is still there dealing with people like you who feed off drama.
Well said 5:04....people who do not know what dispatchers deal with have no business speaking about their operations! Giles county has great dispatch compared to some counties I have worked for!

7:41 What I understand is that the leadership is trying to get more money approved for the dispatch center. The leader is not asking for a raise and it does not go to him. The money goes to the dispatch center for better equipment, better training and ect.... Mike Goode did not ask for 3 dispatchers per shift for him to make more money off of.. he asked for more people because he knows his dispatchers were already doing as much as they could before merging with the ambulance dept.
The problem is these people want to assume "the leadership" is asking for more money to help himself out. The leadership has to ask for every little thing he needs and why he needs it. If they need a new chair, if they need a new keyboard, if they need a new computer, if they need a new mapping system or if they need a new filing cabinet it is all on a budget... My point is that Mike Goode doesnt just have a safe with money in it to use whenever he wants for whatever he wants.
Like I said before if any of the allegations were true about Goode he wouldnt be where he is now. I know if there was a problem with Goode being there his employees would be the first to tell you about it (I know i wouldnt want to work there with a boss doing all these horrible things)... So ask one thats been there for a while and is still there if he is such the horrible person people make him out to be. Kinda funny how only one or two have something to say who are not there any more that actually did something wrong or didnt get their way.
I assure you there is more than one or two that have complained about Mr.Goode.And I am sure you are happy probably been there for a long while. Where is the missing money he cant give an account for,since you know I am sure.
The more employees you supervise the higher your pay goes, don't be so dumb. The women there have been sexually harassed, they have had knockdown fights in the building, he has been involved with several of the workers and there is a significant amount of money that is unaccounted for. He's there because he sucks up to Vanzant and is one of her favored along with Dan Watson and a few others.
