Are Voting Machines Reliable For Providing Honest and Accurate Election Outcomes?

According to WKSR’s website a lawsuit filed over the vote in November 2014 has resulted in Representatives from Micro Vote (the voting machine company) pulling the totals for possible use in that lawsuit.

There has been a great deal of suspicion of the voting machines and those who have access for some time now. While many larger districts and states have  convicted hundreds of people of voter fraud and found the machines had been tampered with, we in Giles County are simply told that, “there's no possible way the machines can be tampered with". Here voter fraud is laughed at and people are put in office in spite of their illegal activities as long as you are a democrat that is.

Now we are told, that regardless of the requirement that a representative of the company, supplying the machines, provide a technician to work on them, we have a regular citizen volunteering to work as a technician on the machines. We just went through that with Mr. Rackley “volunteering” to serve as the technician for these machines. While I doubt that Mr. Wong would bring the same highly questionable prejudices to the job, I believe having a local person leaves far too much room for possible tampering with the vote.

Strange you posted this. I was just told all voting machines would be programmed where a certain person would be elected president even if everyone voted for someone else. I've been wondering if that could really happen.

If you think that electronic voting machines can not be manipulated then I suggest you simply google "manipulation of electronic voting machines" and be amazed at not only how easy it is but also how often it is done.

Of course these machines can be manipulated. It seems that Giles County, for some strange reason, believes that its citizens are just so many mindless sheep. Tell us something with enough conviction and we will fall for it. Unfortunately, we have a record for believing any crap that is spoon-fed to us. When will we finally say "enough"?

Didn't Doug Wong work for David Rackley a few years back?

Mr. Barrett I did not realize that David Rackley, the local person who has been accused of being able to tamper with the voting machines, is a member of the Democratic party?

Or, is he really a member of the Republican Party?

If he is; then both both local major political parties have members who laugh at voter fraud?

Mr Rackley is considered to be a Republican by the state party but his behavior toward the local republican party has not been very supportive to say the least. I have pictures of his office filled with numerous campaign posters supporting a very democrat candidate. To me, it seems very dishonest to represent yourself as a republican and take a job representing the republican party while at the same time supporting a democrat.

Maybe Mr. Rackley's lack of unflinching support for all local Republican candidates is because he supports who he personally considers to be the best person for the position. Rackley just may be a person how does not vote the party line and actually uses his brain to determine who is best.

Local politics should not be tainted by political party bias.

Not to say that the local Democrats are any better or worse than local Republicans. Both sides have really good people and they both have really ignorant, biased uneducated morons.

When a person takes a job based on the fact that he is a republican or a democrat they have an obligation to support the candidates of that party not campaign for a person of the opposite party. If Racily didn't want to support the local candidate then he should have just kept quiet about the other person. Any one can vote for whoever they choose but when you have pledged loyalty to a party in order to get a job then you are being less than honest. Rackley is on the election commission solely because he convinced the Republican Party that he was a republican that is plain deceit.

Amen to that. Democrats are too dumb and crooked to be given such responsibility. Only Republicans have the IQ to "work" on voting machines.

Of course the machines are rigged. Does anyone really believe a candidate for city-wide office could only get 25 or 30 votes TOTAL???? It would have to be a pretty miserable, unfit candidate otherwise.

8:24 you mean "Animal Farm" by George Orwell. "Animal House" was a National Lampoon movie about a fraternity house (Delta Tau Chi) at Faber College (fictitious). The movie included, among others, actor John Belushi.

Please do not confuse Eric Arthur Blair's (George Orwell's real name) epic work with the movie.

Want to read a good one, read Aldous Huxley's "Brave New World" written in 1932.

The Alderwoman complaining about residents parking on both sides of the street should 1) leave that to the police dept, and 2) have something better to complain about. If thats the most effective thing she can contribute then she dont need to be on the city board.. Also heard she was complaining the folks who own the old hospital on Jefferson street are "taking to long" to fix it up. Whats it to her? Is there a time limit on fixing up buildings?

No restriction or law that prohibits parking on Ballentine Street. Harwell just needs driving lessons; or, at a minimum, learn to pay attention when driving.

But this does not pertain to Harwell in that she considers herself to be above everyone else.

Seems that you are just a bit jealous. Anyone who is willing to become an elected official has to have a certain level of ego. As for being loud, well that is just the way Pat is; get over it.

I assume that he does not dance to your drummer. Which may not be so bad.

Why does it take a member of the public (WKSR News) to bring to the attention of the Pulaski City Council they have a problem in the city with derelict buildings? Surely its their job to keep an eye on these things.
