New Cost Revealed For Renovation and Move by Emergency Service Department
It was revealed in the County Legislative Meeting that the new cost to renovate and move the Emergency Services Department from the Courthouse Annex to the Old Alternative School Building on Cedar Lane will be approximately $128,000.00.

What happened to cause this awful increase? It had been previously expected to cost around $5,000. Do we real;ly need to spend this much money on the Emergency Services Dept? It would be interesting to know how much has been spent on this dept since Pierre Billard resigned (who did the whole thing for free).
Considering Barry Whitt is as about as useful as Dan Watson there is no limit to the expenses to be paid.
Speaking of good ol' Watson ..... why have they not been publishing his column in the newspaper? I it possible that he no longer has a County computer upon which to create the column? If so, he must have tons of time on his hands to do nothing at about $16.50 per hour.

Hey, with Watson's $33,000/yr salary we could have kept the convenient recycling center open at Apertain and we wouldn't have had to foot is benefits package. That would have been a win-win combo.
1:28 Great, but not realistic since the State is requiring the county to come into compliance and provide at least 3 Convenience Centers which provide recycling and free trash dumping at all Centers. County should have done this about 15 years ago.

Dan Watson, Tommy Campbell and Janet Vanzant are responsible for never bringing the county into compliance with state law on the recycling and trash collection. Watson makes $33,000 year with very lucritive benefits and has done nothing to earn that high salary even failed to inform the county of major and expensive changes required of the county. Campbell has been a commissioner over 20 years and what has he accomplished? As the member of the regional solid waste and chairman of the county solid waste committee he also knew, like Watson, that the county was out of compliance with the state and did nothing including refusing to notify the county of the new requirements until the last minute which caused chaos. Vanzant has protected both Watson and Campbell, Campbell because she knows he will always vote with her and Watson because he always sucks up to her. Instead of firing him for incompetence and legally charging him with frauds actually rewards him with a job with less responsibility and better benefits. The benefits are he don't even have to lock himself in his office as before, he just don't bother to show up.
Then why in the HELL does he (Dan Watson) not continue writing his goofy, uneducated, poorly written column for the newspaper?
Goofy and uneducated was right! One reason I quit taking the paper.

Noticed you did not say a peep about the 8:44 AM post which is totally accurate in how the problem they referred to came about.
Looks like the new school director is already showing it's his way only.
Now why did he not want the Citizen Sports Editor in on a meeting?
The new director of schools was told what to do. Those football boys pull the strings in the school system, and we all know who they are.
