Language Use
Because I have a strong belief that censorship is wrong I have been very lenient and not removed anything posted for it's content other than for language used. Some comments I have strongly disagreed with but did not remove because of the belief open communication is just that. Please do not use vulgarities in expressing your thoughts and comments as one word causes the whole post to be deleted. Thank you. Kent Allard

Here here on the use of language. While we're at it, how about name calling? That's no more productive than offensive language.

Wrong again! I read my Bible and am well aware of its teachings with regard to corruption and sin. Do you remember the self-righteous Pharisees? As for ministers, you and I both know that they (ministers) should not be running around town stirring up trouble, calling people names, and the like. Would you agree with me that a "man of God" is held to a higher standard? If not, then you need to go back and read your own Bible!

You are misapplying the term. We both know what I meant by the reference to men of God. Let me say it another way. Those professing to be preachers, ministers, pastors, or whatever you want to call them should NOT be doing those things. But I do agree with you that we are all God's children.

If Dr. King had lived in Giles County, do you honestly think that he (a man of God) would have been running around town stirring up the kind of trouble that we are talking about here? Sure, he was a troublemaker and even called a Communist back then. But we are talking about two entirely different scenarios here.

Let me turn the question around. Do you know what your hero does with every single minute of his time? Of course not, and I am not implying that he does anything wrong at those times. I'm not saying that he has no honor; what I would suggest is that he is not even close to being Dr. King. That is ridiculous. And NO, Dr. King was not a troublemaker in the hearts of people like me. He was a great man of true honor who wanted what is best for his people. You have to respect that, so don't bother trying to suggest that I think otherwise about such a noble human being! As I said, can you imagine him out in public calling people names and the like? Even more importantly, Dr. King was all about peaceful protest and resistance. He has my utmost respect.

Yes, I'm the same writer, and I thought you would have grasped what I meant by the fact that Dr. King was a troublemaker BACK IN THOSE DAYS. They even called him a communist! If someone wants to challenge his facts with facts of their own, then please do so.It has gone way beyond the ridiculous childish realm of reason to make every other posting on this blog about AB's postings instead of the issues. We get it, 8:19 and so many others, that you don't like the delivery,so grow up and get past the delivery and contribute to the discussion, offer a different point of view, make suggestions, but let's have a grown up discussion on how to better our community and forget other people's real or perceived "attitudes." Take your own advice, 10:19, and don't beat that "dead horse" anymore. WAB is not an issue, he is a contributor, as we all are to this blog, albeit he is not invisible as I and most are. I frankly don't always agree with him, but I do occasionally and I appreciate his bringing many issues to light.
