Well, well maybe some progress was made this go around when appointing committee members. Good to see Holt taking a back seat. My only question is with the 3rd district commission seat being vacant, where will the new 3rd district commissioner be placed on these committees?

Yes, everyone made it should like a done deal that Cobb was already on the commission. I guess they were proving to be wrong. I know nothing about Ms. Faulkner, but hopes she will do a great job. Is there any names in the race for Mr. Beets commission seat?

Don't know cobb personally and he could be a great guy. However, being a great guy and being a good commissioner are two different things. I never heard among all the talk that he was a shoe in. Where did you get that idea?

Expection of Cobb being a shoe in came from the Speer supporters on the commission. He only received 3 votes from the whole commission. Congratulations Ms Faulkner. We are looking for you to do right by the people of this county.

Did Holt throw a temper tandrum when he was replaced on the Budget Committee? Anyone know?

If he threw one when his grandson didn't make all-stars then I'm sure he did when he was replaced. He probably threw a tandrum, cursed, and cried. I hope he never gets reelected again after I have witnessed the way he acts.

No temper tantrums but he did almost blow a gasket and bite off his lip holding back. I thought he was an Alabama fan the way the Crimson Tide rolled up his face when he realized he had been undone.

I think most everybody has realized what a jackass Bill Holt is by socializing with him at school, exchange club, commissioner, ball park jerk or meeting him on the street. The only ones who will stand up for him is his no count buddies on the commission, school system(TEE) or maybe his family. I hope when he runs again he don't get a single vote because he sure doesn't deserve one.

I wonder how some of these commissioners, Vanzant, Speer, Tee Jackson and school board members can lay their heads down at night and goto sleep after the way they have let down the citizens of giles county. Some of them I know do not have one bit of respect for the citizens. What they don't understand is we as taxpayers are paying their sweet salary.

They don't care about the average citizen because they stand to benefit from screwing the citizens.

CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG ???

I don't know 12:38 why don't you ask the county executive and other leaders in the community why they aren't honest with the citizens of this county. Perhaps, if morals and ethics were applied, respect would be given and everyone could get along. Or are you just one of those that chooses to sweep it all under the carpet for the sake not ruffling any feathers?

Anyone know who the two remaining
3rd District Commissioners are going to support as a replacement to Billy Beets. I hope all Commissioners will support who the people of that District want and not someone who could care less how the 3rd District Constituents feels. If you live in the 3rd District keep up with who the interested persons are and call up all commissoners and have a say who you wish they support. This is very important. I'm a 3rd District voters and I'm very concerned of whom I've heard so far is interested. There is one who doesn't listen to anyone but himself and I'm sure the Campbellsville folk don't want him nor does Bodenham.

What names are circulating? I have only heard Dwight Garner. Is that who you are insinuating 1:49?

I'm not 1:49 but I've heard that Chris Morris, Dwight Garner, Oakleen Walls, Brian Flowers and Gayle Jones were interested. That's just what I've heard, not for sure on it through. Could be more.

That's a lot of folks. I wonder who will get it and better yet who would do the best job!

I think Oakleen Walls would be a fair and honest person for the job. She will vote her concience and what the people of her district want. I hope the commission will support her and I don't think they will be sorry.
