"One Charge Dismissed, Another Investigation Starts" was a headline from the "Pulaski Citizen" front page.
The article reports that the charges against Mr. Clay McAlister of destroying my political signs has been dismissed. The charges were dismissed after the video that was in the possession of the police department turned up with a section missing. Fortunately that section was viewed by Lt. Glossup prior to it being locked up in evidence and he reported what was on the disc. I never claimed that anyone altered the disc and all I have said is that there was footage on there the night Lt. Glossup viewed it and the next day only blue sky was seen in that section. I never made any claim as to what happened to the disc or how it happened. The TBI was unable to confirm 100% that the disc was altered or that the prints on the signs were those of Mr. McAlister thus the charges were dismissed.
Of all those police officers who have been actively involved in this activity Lt. Glossup has continually shown the most integrity and professionalism and is deserving of praise not a continued harassment because he bucked a system where the well connected are protected and given special privilege.

There is no enabler of evil here. The REAL evil lies in willfully trying to stir up trouble and strife in our community. A perhaps lesser evil would be insane jealousy and resentment toward those who are in positions of authority. A self-disciplined person should be able to keep those qualities to himself. Look, you can blame it on me if you like; I could care less. There were a lot of people upset over barrett's shenanigans. Many people were just as outraged about what appeared to be a clever and devious trap. I sincerely believe Mr. McAlister just got enough of it and took matters into his own hands. He probably shouldn't have done it, but ask yourself one question and be honest. Who provoked the situation? It certainly wasn't me.
Barrett posted that he kept a copy of his tape. If he wasn't lying about that he should post it to show the gap he says occurred while the police had the original. Unless of course that is a lie too.

If Lt. Glossup were to be terminated, it is going to speak volumes about our police chief. There is a huge difference between post made about a private citizen and those in public office. Even the courts have declared that as a public official you give up some of the privileges of privacy.
If you show me where a post is grossly untrue, directly involves only a private citizen or expresses blatantly vulgar language I will gladly delete it as soon as possible as I have done in the past.
What about the reference to Mrs. Harwell as a commie lib...among other things? Would you delete it if that were said about your wife?

Could you take a few moments and read my 9:21 post from this morning. It explains that there is a difference between a public and a private citizen.
It was the enabler who was called that name. It was only suggested that she might be Vicky.
So now she's admitting to being Vicky Harwell. If not then why else is she so determined to defend another person's name?

By the way, did you read the newspaper article that contains Officer Glossup's statement about the flag caper (about his being mistaken and pressured)? If you did, I hope you go a step further and read what allen barrett said in his letter to the editor. I just don't understand why Clay McAlister would want something done about this situation if he were guilty. Do you? Just wondering is all.

I will not dignify that with an answer....Spoiling for a fight...why don't you go crawl back under the rock you crawled out from under..? Again, has anyone else besides myself of course, been experiencing a high water bill? It seems that our basic necessities are becoming outrageously expensive and that has to be taking a toll on those who are struggling as it is. Seems gas, electric,water and food are quickly becoming a luxury. We may all be planting a garden this spring...who can afford not to??

Does the Minor Hill Water Board set the rates for water used through their system?
The real question should be why aren't the different water districts consolidated and the same rate for water charged throughout the county.
Except for a small amount the water for each system comes through the Pulaski Water system and is resold at a profit to end users. This duplication of actions is very expensive. Except for the fact that these individual water districts are dominated by some folks with very big toes, there are no logical reasons for not consolidating and saving the users an enormous amount of money.
