Martin College has been taken care of for sure. I have no idea what Mayor Ford has done for the past 100 days. I see the meeting on tv, but you cannot hear what is said. The meetings are terrible to watch. They are a total waste of time!
Where is the jobs Ford had promised? Is there something in the works? Or is Ford just a speer pupet?
Why is Pulaski NOT wanting the TVA Data Center the 200 High Paying Jobs. Does Ford not want the about 15 Million a year pumped into pulaski economy. I herd from Ford he was going to do his best to get jobs to Pulaski. Is Dan Speer and Terry realy running Pulaski?

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Valley Authority has added Nashville's Starwood Commons site to its lineup of locations to possibly build a regional data center.
TVA said in a statement that the site in southeastern Davidson County was reviewed last year but was not initially chosen. The city of Nashville continued to make improvements and resubmitted the application.
The other Tennessee sites are in Bristol, Fayetteville, Jackson, Lenoir City, Maryville, Murfreesboro and Tullahoma.
Sites are also in Guntersville, Hartselle and Athens, Ala.; Grenada and Olive Branch, Miss.; and Duffield, Va.
A TVA spokesman said Thursday such a center could employ up to 200 workers who normally are well-paid and highly skilled.
I was told of this recent thread, and I wanted to respond with additional information. Locations selected by TVA to participate in their datacenter program must meet rigorous site selection requirements. Several months ago, representatives from TVA and Deloitte Consulting came to Pulaski to review a potential data center site in Industrial Park South. The officials were very impressed with the site and the ready availability of high-speed fiber optics. However, the TVA data center program requires redundant power feeds to the proposed site. Currently, Industrial Park South is fed from a single substation, but PES is considering the best ways to make a redundant circuit available. Once a redundant power feed is identified, we fully expect Pulaski to be included in the TVA datacenter program.

Dickey seems to say one thing and do another and then contradict himself a few days later. But I am sure that these two events are just the tip of the iceberg.
Tip of what iceberg? Are you suggesting that the Chief is dirty, or incompetent? Or is there some political manipulation being suggested?
I will put it to you this way. There are only a handful of Pulaski cops that I trust and Dean Glossup is among them and look what happened to him. I am not making any accusations, but I can only tell you that my gut tells me that something is rotten in Denmark.

I have talked with Martin Students and I asked them if anyone at the college told them who to vote for and they said NO!
Since we are talking about Mt. McAlister, why did he think he needed to move Mrs. Vanzant's sign. Most people don't pay any attention to those signs anyway. Why did he run to VZ next morning to tell her what happen?

Prior to the afternoon Mr. McAlister stopped to move Mrs. Vanzant's sign, barrett had moved his signs right up next to hers (on both sides) to block her sign from view. Mr. McAlister only moved her sign. How do I know that? I went out there shortly after it happened, and saw barrett's signs right where they had been the day before. That being the case, Mr. McAlister either did not touch those signs or someone put them back up immediately after they had been thrown down a bank. Now which one of those two scenarios seem more believable?

I happen to know WAB, and I can tell that he wouldn't have raised a stink if he didn't have the goods on the man. In the case of the the "tape" being erased, I wouldn't be surprised about that either.
But seeing as to how it can no longer be proved or disproved, both Allen and Clay need to drop this mess and move on.

I have a degree in computer technology and I know for a fact that when you copy data from a tape to a disc, the orginial data remains the same on the tape. The only way that data is removed is by purposely deleting it before the copy is made, however it remains in tact on the hard drive and a forensic computer tech can retrieve any and all data, regardless if it is deleted. Let me preface something here. I am not a confidant nor a follower of WAB. I do know the man. I respect him as a person. I agree with much of what he says, but I do disagree with his methods for getting the attention of citizens when ever he sees something questionable. I do think that he could go about it perhaps in a different manner. But I do firmly believe the man means well.
That being said, I can honestly state that I do not believe he would have intentionally "blocked" the signs of another political candidate using his own signage, and especially when it's a candidate seeking another position.
No doubt he has enemies in local positions here in Giles county, who will do most anything to discredit his character. But I know the man wouldn't knowingly do something like that.
As Bill O'Reilly has stated many times,"the powerful protect the powerful"; sometimes the powerful protect those who share the same interest.
I'm not saying that someone in side the police dept tampered with evidence in this case. But I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be the case either.

I think you are right. We need to be discussing the gas situation and end all the name-calling and attacks.
It's my understanding that there's enough oil in a reserve somewhere out West to run our country for generations. Yet, the government won't allow drilling to begin. They make excuses while the Middle East holds their oil over our heads like a hot biscuit for a hungry dog. In the meantime, our young men and women are over there dying for them! Oh, and it seems anybody but the United States can drill in the Gulf. Is it any wonder our nation is laughed at so often?
Will five dollars a gallon gasoline bring this country to its knees? I think it just might, and that is heart-breaking.
Another possible thread topic could be cures for cancer. We were promised those cures several decades ago. Are they already available yet unavailable? Would their being brought forward put an end to a multi-billion dollar industry? Would pharmaceutical companies and surgeons be happy with that? In the meantime, our friends and loved ones die of cancer.

You have to look at the individual board members scores to really understand what a terrible mistake was made with the election of some.

Tee has given newspaper his own interpretation of exceeds when he really didn't make av. He has tried to manipulate the scores and ask that some scores not count. Does anyone know if all board members even scored him. I know for a fact the scores of one board member and those scores would have knocked off a bunch of points. He doesn't have Cathy Norman there to give him all 5's and I would only think that Jerry Bryant would give him high scores. After being written up in the past year and other things he was reprimanded for he should have scored low.
And Mr. Barrett were you present at the meeting when board members (2) said it would take about 24 months to look for a replacement. they are letting the months slip away and are they going to add some time again to get 24 months. At the meeting they should be putting him on notice that in June 2012 he will be terminated. Just think, if he hadn't gotten another year he would be gone this June, BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know I"m way late on this topic but he has done nothing but take care of Martin Methodist College. Has anyone looked at their 20-20 plan that just recently got approved? They lay it out on their website. They plan on taking over the whole area (plus more) that Martin stands on. They plan to close it off so nobody can go through that area. There was also a rumor that they were trying to remodel the public library and consolidate it with their library.
