Congratulations to Commissioner Jackson
During the Budget Meeting this morning Commissioner Jackson presented a copy of the Financial Management Act of 1981 with a few underlined sections and asked, "Why aren't these laws being followed?"
Excuse after excuse was offered but the simple fact is the law is being ignored and the requirements of the law are not being followed.
One example is that the budget process is to start in February with some specific actions taken by the Financial Director. By 14 May the whole process should be finished to the point of knowing what's what. To date very little has actually been done by the Budget Committee and it appears yet another budget will be formed in the last hours with the intention of amendments to cover shortcomings.

Kudos to Commissioner Jackson. Was he the only one to speak up about this? Wat are we paying these commissioners for?
Now I read in the paper wherwe Commissioner Tommy Campbell who is chairman of the financial management committee, said the finance director, Loretta Garner is not going to be fired. How can he make statements like that when the woman fails to do her job and get the county in such a financial pickle? I can remember being in a commission meeting when Stoney Jqackson asked for monthly financial statements and was told by Garner she would do it. Why has that not happening and why didnt the chairman of the budget committee made sure it happened?
Tommy Campbell may think he is the only one in authority but there are six more commissioners sitting at that table and they also have a say. I heard Tommy Campbell say out of his own mouth that Loretta was not doing her job and needed to go. He talks with a forked tongue so beware of what you say to him.

Yes, I am one of many Christians in Giles County who would urge you and the other one or two to stop causing trouble. It's unfortunate that people like you are out there making fun of those like me. It would bother me if there were a lot of people criticizing me for claiming Christ in my life, but I know it's only the one or possibly two on here who are doing that. However, I never would have brought that up in the first place had allen barrett not told a lie o that I support wrongdoings. I denied it, and he then DEMANDED proof to the contrary. My best proof is that I live a Christian life. He refused to accept that while on more than one occasion accused others of judging the thoughts and intents of his heart. The hypocrisy infuriates me.
As for denying anthing I get called on. I have NEVER done that.

10:07 Wasn't Paul the one who gave up his life as a powerful enforcer for those in control (the government) for a life of doing what was right (opposing that government).

I liked your post and thought surely everyone will do that. Boy was I wrong, even to the one claims to be a Christian posted.
I went to church then took my Mother out for lunch and do some things she enjoyed. Let my computer stay off on Sundays.
Now I've done my housework this morning and thought I would check the blog, not much should be on it.
I should of known some people just can't grow up.
