I want to know why does every election commission in the country open their polls up at 7:00 A.M. and Giles County opens theirs at 8:00 A.M. Do we not have some of the sorriest folks in the country or the laziest? That is just like Giles County! Election Commissioners, get this corrected!

Well pray for our Country is now an understatement.

Full blown socialism now on the way--the light at the end if the tunnel is now definitely a great big train.

It is a very distressing thing to know that as a nation today is the best day of the rest of our national life.
I am reminded of the kings of old who where allowed to reign because the people had turned so far from God. In this election, added to the shame of massive baby murder and mutilations, two states, for the first time, voted to embrace a new definition of marriage to include same sex couples. This of course opens the door even wider to all sorts of sordid relationships becoming acceptable.
Some will say "regardless of who is president Jesus is still Lord", I wish that was true but the fact is While the real Jesus is certainly Lord of all he clearly has no place in the lives of most people in today's world even among those who refer to themselves as Christians.
Until we are brought to our knees in repentance our only direction will continue to be downward.

It is hard deciding which is worse for Pulaski: the re-election of Obama or the re-election of Harwell and Badour. I will say Harwell and Badour.

Referring to yourself as Christian is certainly easier than emulating Jesus. Our Lord taught tolerance of one another. I sincerely hope the republicans did not get the message last night: Americans are tired of intolerant hypocrites. Republicans cannot hope to bring Latinos into their party while opposing the American Dream Act. They cannot show tolerance of gay and lesbian Americans by opposing same sex marriage as viciously as they used to oppose inter-racial marriage. They cannot include African-Americans in their fold by using vile and racial slurs against the first African-American president. They cannot bridge the gender gap by opposing equal pay for equal work for women who are just wanting a level playing field on which to support their families.

Yes, I sincerely hope they did not get it because as long as they don't, yesterday's results will the closest they get to electing a president in mine or my children's lifetimes.

2:46 I needed that laugh, it was a good one.

2:19 I lost my vote because I didn't want to pay for someone's abortion or birth control. A female can do whatever she wants to with her body just don't ask tax payers to pay for it. Also I'm not sure our president loves the USA.

Come what may, we have Obama for four more years. I just hope he proves my thought to be wrong and he don't destroy our country.

All I know is that if we don't find a way to work together, we are good and truly screwed, no matter who the POTUS is.

If our legislative bodies act as petty as they have over the last four years, we don't stand a chance.

The hell with Democrats and Republicans, we need to find a way to be Americans.

I agree with you Ray to a degree, but the problem comes when one side is forced to give up all their principles in order to get along with the other side.
You must keep in mind that the congress has only been divided since 2010 the first two years of the obama administration was "all" democrats and during that time obama refused to even discuss any issues with the republicans.
The day before the election Harry Reid stated he would not work with Romney if he is elected. Reid now is moving to change the rules of the senate in order to deny republican input.
The sad fact is that we no longer identify ourselves as Americans but as divided name Americans, religious affiliation, sexual coalitions, rich or poor, oppressed, entitled, educated, uneducated, etc. The only thing we are really united in is the downward spiral we are in and the fact we are treated like serfs by the nobles in charge that have continuously lied to us.

Lol. You are unbelievable. No one calls themself a name. It is the name-callers (of whom you are the king) that divide us up.

How about this: start referring to your enemies as Americans and let's see if by starting with a community of "Americans" we can't resolve these important issues as grown ups with mutual respect for each other's positions.

This photo is in poor taste. Instead of taking a photo of it and posting it online, you should have been respectful and removed the sticker. That is someone's grave!

HA !! And so it begins. Sean Hannity today reversed his position and came out for amnesty for illegal aliens. Says he has "evolved".

Well, at least one knuckle-dragger has.

Funny how last week that was an un-American thing to say. Who said Fox News could not read election returns?

Why have borders at all? From a lot of posts on here borders seem to be stupid. Maybe the evolved push a world with no separation of countries but I happen to believe the Constitution of the United States is the best thing going today.

And by the way most illegal aliens are socialists and communists who then have a voice in electing our government. Say goodbye to the best nation in the world. We are on that road any way.

1:15 A big thank you to you and the Florida legislature. Cuban-Americans used to be rock-ribbed republicans. They LEFT a socialist country and came here by boats and planes in droves. They lost their country to communists and socialists and were determined not ever to let that happen again.

But with the constant attack on Latinos, the republicans finally moved that bloc of now US citizens to democratic voters in the largest numbers ever seen from that community this year. Undoubtedly, they contributed to President Obama carrying Florida, which no one thought possible.

So, again, a big "thank you" is due.

are you nuts the great majority of cuban americans voted foe romney. they know what obama is and that’s why they left castro and their homes.

I agree. They are a significant republican vote. But a noticeable bloc was pulled off this year with the anti-immigrant stance of the republican party. "Their" Senator Marco Rubio also commented on it. So again, Thank you.

5:21 a 52/48 split is not much of a majority. Did you see where even Sean Hannity is now calling for amnesty for illegal aliens in response? Fox News embracing the immigrants now?????

According to figures released, 48 percent of Florida's Cuban-Americans backed Obama, while challenger Romney got the rest.

That's a Democratic gain of 13 points among Cuban-Americans over 2008, according to pollster Fernand Amandi, and represents what he called "a sea change."

"The dam has finally burst in the long-awaited Cuban shift," Amandi said. "This is a remarkable change."

This year is probably the last that Florida will be deemed a swing state. In 4 years, it will be Texas and Arizona instead.

All I can say is that I will laugh in the face of the next person who has the nerve to refer to our country as a Christian nation. That was clearly proven in the re-election of Barack Hussein Obama.
