Big Thanks Go Out To Home Depot And Their Employees
If you happen to be around the historic Giles County Courthouse or, even better, intentionally go there and take a look at the newly painted benches.
Home Depot sponsored and provided all the materials while many of their employees volunteered their time and energy to paint them. This was all done without any publicity or cost to the county.

Thanks Home Depot! You have been a blessing in Giles County! We need more businesses here in our county! Maybe we should start a committee that tries to promote Giles County as a business friendly county!

Wasn't that part of the $400,000 downtown revitalization program the city council thought was needed over parking? Thanks to Home depot but why does the city council not address the parking problem downtown. It does not matter how nice a place looks if it is not functional it will stay dilapidated.
If painting of the benches around the courthouse was part of the city's revitalization program, why was it done on county property, or is the revlitalization a joint city and county project?
Painting the benches was not part of the downtown revitalization project -buying new ones to place around the square is. That way, there will be more than one place to sit and enjoy the town.
Where are the benches to be placed? Have the spots already been chosen?

Cracker Barrel has reversed it's position and apologized for offending the many partons of their stores by removing the Duck Dynasty merchandise. They have returned the merchandise to their shelves.
Anybody see the "Reverend" Jesse Jackson's comments about Phil Robertson? He is so insignificant that he grasps at straws to gain any amount of attention. Looks like he could make better use of his time by visiting his convict son instead of trying to make anything he can a racial issue. I wonder where the "Reverend"

You are responsible for your speech. A shield of anonymous does not protect you when you choose to defame, threaten and falsely accuse citizens of actions proven to be lies. Anonymous provides no legal protection.
