E-mail topic: Dubious Sportsmanship

A reader asks: Should Barry Bonds or any other sports figure who used steroids be allowed in a sports Hall of Fame, have their names in the official record books, or be allowed to play in official competitions?

I'm ignorant in sports so is Barry Bonds from Giles Co? Mr. McPeters states this blog is a blatant copy of the original GilesTwoCentsWorth which was subjects relating to Giles County. If we don't keep it local in nature it will surely get out of hand. We badly need this blog here. Thanks Mr McPeters.

Isn't Barry Bonds that little skinny guy that plays for the Pirates? He's 6'1 and weighs 170lbs how could he posibly make the Hall of Fame?

I would also like an answer to that question, why drug dealer get off so light, and this includes constant repeat offenders. why are they only staying a short time in jail and then released to go right back to doing what they were doing?I know 3 or more people whose name appears in the paper over and over for the same thing and then in a few days you see them out on the streets again, picking up where they left off.what's going on?

Should Barry Bonds ever break Hank Aaron's home run record, it will be illegitimate. Hank and Babe hit all their home runs without the use of steroids and the arm and elbow padding used these days. When I was playing baseball, such pads would have made it much easier for me to face those fast but unpredictable pitchers. Such padding gives unfair advantage to the hitter, not counting performance-enhancing drugs.
