Was this ever a classic case of assault and battery! I'm sure wab is scarred for life.
To a-nag-u-must, Finally we agree sort of this was a classic case of assault but not battery unless you count the one in wab's camera or cagles watch. I'm sure that wab has recovered from the trama since I saw him on TV and he looked rather cool.
By the way a-nag-u-must you never did say how you would have handled being hit in the chest by a very angry guy much larger than yourself. wab took the right approach as if he had hit back no doubt he would have been in jail.

I never would have been in the lawyer's face "exposing" my rear end in the first place. So, I really don't know how to answer that question. Anyone can be provoked, and I understand that's exactly what happened.
As for his face being shown on tv, I saw that and had to laugh. The reporter said that your hero (also a "reporter") is thought of as a troublemaker.
What you can't seem to fathom is that your hero thrives on being seen and heard. His ego demands it.

You didn't attend the meeting and you didn't watch the video and apparently you didn't listen when people tried to tell you what happened at the school board meeting. wab was speaking with Mrs Norman when Cagle butted in and tried to back wab down with a loud barrage of angry words.
When Cagle could not win his arguement with logic and truth his frustration got the best of him and he punched wab. I leave you with this thought, "rather to be thought a troublemaker by scoundrels than proven to be one by honest men"wab is indeed a nightmare to politicians who are proven scoundrels but is well thought of by politicians and others who are open and honest.
If there had been no video, there would have been no admission of guilt.

Let's face it, your hero is a hothead, and you know it. It's as simple as that.

The bottom line is simple, Mr Cagle was wrong admitted it and took his punishment. You could take a lesson in accepting responsibility from him.

I didnt't need to be present for Mr. Cagle's "assault" on you. I know what happened, and I also know how people can react when provoked to anger.
Let me help clear up another of your misunderstandings. Yes, you've been a troublemaker for quite awhile. However, it really came to the forefront when you lost an election I'm sure you felt you had in your back pocket. But you see, people knew you better than you thought they did.
As for taking a lesson in personal responsibility, I accept that as a standard. Perhaps you could take a lesson in praying for those who do you wrong (the old turn the other cheek thing).
WAB, You not only lost the election. You got the CRAP beat out of you. That should speak loud and clear about what the vast majority of folks in your district think of your thought process and leadership abilities.
As for the Cagle thing, lawsuits are settled all of the time by folks who are right, but when it is much cheaper to give up than it is to fight, then most take the less expensive route. What did it really do to Mr. Cagle anyway? Other than that he is the real victim in this ordeal.

I never said I had only one psychiatrist; there was a whole team of nineteen. It started out being only one but they kept adding others because they couldn't decide whether I was a genius or just close. All agreed that I have a superior intellect just unclear which side of genius I was on.

kudos to you! you hit the nail on the head. as a lawyer im sure cagle knew it would cost much less-both time and money-to just get the thing over with than go through a long drawn out trial. this happens all the time. people settle all the time even when their right just to get it over with. i dont know that much about the law but it was explained to me that basically the charge would be removed from his record if it didnt happen again which of course isnt likely. he didnt even get a slap on the wrist basicly. if this had been a real assault, it seems to me the ruling would have been much harsher. apparently cagles ego isnt so big he feels he much win at any cost, unlike some others who just want there name in the news.

The "punch" which I viewed on the site was no more than Mr. Cagle pointing his finger at AB. I did not realize that anything had happened until AB started screaming like a little school girl on the playground yelling for the teacher at recess. Oh, I forgot who we were dealing with. Okay - watched it again. Cagle responded because he knew WAB was there to cause trouble and he was being a gentleman and dealing with the idiot instead of Mrs. Norman having to. He did not "assault" WAB --- didn't hit, didn't poke. His voice, like I said earlier, had no anger -- he talked to WAB as if he were talking to a small child.
I have little concern for wab he obviously can take care of himself. My beef if there is one is with the ignoramus I refer to as a-nag-u-must because he has his head up his kazoo and thinks it's everyone else that needs enlightening.
