Giles Free Speech Zone

The purpose of the "Giles Free Speech Zone" is to identify problems of concern to the people of Giles County, to discuss them in a gentlemanly and civil manner, while referring to the facts and giving evidence to back up whatever claims are made, making logical arguments that avoid any use of fallacy, and, hopefully, to come together in agreement, and find a positive solution to the problem at hand. Federal Tyranny and Stupidity Knows No Bounds!

Is that bottle of 7% iodine in your medicine chest getting a little low? Well, you'd better buy more iodine -- TODAY -- if you think you'll ever want to use any in the future. Why? Because the morons at the Drug Enforcement Agency have (without asking Congress, let alone the public) grabbed more unConstitutional power for themselves, and banned this useful substance, effective August 1, 2007.

So, buy now, or forever hold your peace!

Isn't it ironic that, in a government chock full of drug users (Clinton and Bush Jr are famous cocaine fiends, Al Gore and countless others admit to using pot -- and Barack Obama is a former crackhead!) so much effort is made to "stamp out" illegal drugs? Well, here's one reason that happens:

The stupidity of banning concentrated iodine is truly remarkable, even by the very low standards of the federal government! The Keystone Kops of the DEA apparently don't realize that anyone with enough on the ball to manufacture "meth" would have no trouble figuring out how to convert 2.2% iodine (which is still legal, for now) into the dreaded 7% variety. All it takes is a little boiling, so I guess the next unConstitutional regulation will be to ban bunsen burners, and laboratory glasswares. How wonderful it is to have a Big Brother Nanny Government to protect us from all risks in life! I tell you, it gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling all over-- doesn't it you?

Check out the comments they have posted on this topic. And farmers, this is a good site for you, as it is dedicated to protecting "traditional rights to farm."

The "Incarcerex" ad is probably too true to be funny. But here's a real political ad that's truly hilarious:
