Is There A Backbone Growing In The Financial Management Office?
Word comes that there is finally some action being taken in the Financial Management Office to correct a long time situation where a $44,532.00 a year employee keeps missing. Seems she has continued to follow her well established pattern from her days at the School Central Office by failing to show up on time, taking extra long lunch breaks and just plain vanishing for hours at a time.
What has been so obvious to most observers seems to have finally gotten to the overly patient and easy going Director so that she has now officially counseled the employee and warned against future unacceptable absences. Hoorays for Mrs. Garner.

Dont underestimate Loretta!!!! She can be a spit fire when she wants to be.........She will handle it!!!!!!!
Loretta is as incompetent as WAB and the financial management act. She was a bad hire. Then again, with all of the troublemakers (WAB, Bev, etc.) in this county, any potential good hires would not apply for this position.

Don't really know the scoup about anatomy & growing anatomical parts. I do know there is more than enough growth in wrecktum parts of the politbureau to sink a battleship. Don't know how Mrs. G or anyone else could put up with it. Diagnosis is a rectal orficer with enlarged growth pains.

Bev couldn't handle my job! Her inability to think rationally when situations get tough would prevent that. I have seen her in action, and I know how she operates. Have you?

All this personal nonsense gets nowhere. The topic asks is the finance director finally getting some backbone in straightening out one of the employees she got from the school system and who by all accounts was a poor worker there. The financial management act is an excellent system. Propblem is we have leaders in this county, including T Jackson, Janet Vanzant and Barry Hyatt who fought tooth and nail to get it voted back out. They continue to pull every string of resistance to have them comply with the financial act as written by law. This resistance includes the county attorney who is a puppet in the hands of Vanzant and her close friend Stoney Jackson, plus a few others on the commission. Dont come back and say I'm a bietter person writing this because I DIDNT GET ELECTED. YOU WOULD BE VERY WRONG AS I NEVER HAVE RUN FOR ANYTHING. I'm just a concerned citizens who reads the news reports and can see what is happening to us all.

Is it the one who Janet Vanzant hired for discrimination purposes or is it the one who got the big bonus and the huge salary???
I don't think that Garner got any bargains out of the three school employees.

Did Sigmon get to keep her "temporary" raise in salary that Jackson gave her? I would also like to know what the salaries and budget for the Financial Management office are. WAB that seems to be your forte, what are the budget figures?
Answers to above. Sigmon got to keep it but not because Garner wanted her to have it. Tee knew what he was doing when he lied to board and commission about it being temp. Braden is doing a pretty good job I understand but has someone over her. Melonie White is the other. She is highly qualified in being late, smoking alot, playing games on computer during work hours, hates Bev Murrey, blogger, and made alot of MISTAKES with finances while at Central Office. She cost the county alot of money mostly in not paying the bills on time. Tee wouldn't let her go because she was there when he got there and didn't feel that he should fire her if the others didn't. She wasn't like this until he came along and allowed her to do so.
Loretta Garner is doing the best she can with what she has to work with. You just think about how much time she will have to spend on the School budget alone. Alot has to be gone back and checked over and try to correct the next budget time. Give her a couple of years to straighten out what is a horrific mess.
Thank Goodness we have someone that is not like the past school board and jumping through hoops to please, but trying to do her job.

I came in the house thinking about all the garbage we seem to collect & let contaminate things we love. The TV was on & a preacher was reading the Bible & the words I heard were "Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness."
I had to sit down - hear & see. I rarely read & don't think I ever heard that message before. He was reading Exodus 23. Within 30 minutes, I could see why we have the insane problems within our department of education & why this nation is rolling over on its back. It has an answer, but we are too screwed up to even want to fix it! It hammers home the evil of the idiot who keeps challenging WAB & anyone else who fights evil.
Verse 7 & 8 is a good one for Holt & the others who claim conflict of intrest & then vote it for obvious reasons! Walk tall boys.
Verse 24 doesn't say be nice & snuggle up to the evil one. "Utterly overthrow them & break down their images" is a pretty blunt command & if you keep reading, you'll get a better idea of how blunt it gets! Guess Winkles & Barret should have taken a hornets nest in to get TJ & Gonzo's attention back when they were thrown in jail for trying to talk to them! Imagine, look them in the eye and whack them in the head with a nest full of real mad hornets! They'd be happy to listen next time. 32 & 33 sums it up - make no covenant!
Why is TJ still the director of education? Does any one doubt what he stands for? Why is the financial management committee contaminated & cursed for failure? Putting an honest person to carry out their directions is beyond belief!
The answer to why it remains a cesspool is simple - we haven't finished cleaning house because too many are either too preoccupied with their idols & images or so downtrodden they don't know how to get up & whopass.
Really tired of hearing about Beth Sigmon. Leave this woman alone. She has a tough job and does a great job.
Your right, Beth is a victim of circumstance. As long as she knows Loretta is her boss she will do an excellent job. She didn't ask for the raise, she must of been the next in line for T to give a raise to at a whim.
The raise was given for her either being a CPR according to Mrs Garner or as a bonus for extra work she might have to do according to Mr. Jackson.
So far she is not a CPA so that justification is dead. The work she did at the school was to put a stamp of respectability on the underhanded dealings of Jackson so that the Commission would vote to adjust the books to clean the blood off his fangs.
