Giles County Director of Schools Tee Jackson was recently named District School Director of the Year by the Tennessee Organization of School Superintendents. This district covers some seventeen different school systems. Congratulations to Mr. Jackson

Have you noticed whenever someone has screwed up they get a plaque or award, i.e. Bobbi McMasters, Ambulance Dir. Griggs. When the heat's on the awards come out.

Astounding! One must conclude that either public schools need to be shut down or the public needs to take control and exercise some minimum level of honesty and integrity. Are all 17 districts doing the same corrupt financing & performance reporting tricks on the public and lying about it, or do they simply not know what is behind that nice outgoing personality?
Do they know that the books were changed by formal amendment to agree with the results AT YEAR END, so Mr. Jackson wouldn't be written up by the TN Audit Dept.!

Sometimes I awaken at 3:30 in the morning for purpose. The question of how good men can honor evil rips at the heart without answer or logic. I tune in Shepherds Chappell to fill the home with God’s word, whether I’m listening or not or not even in the home. It’s strictly reading from the Bible, certainly one of my areas of weakness.
So, why am I refused sleep when I am tired and disgusted with the corruption and perversity within our school system, a corruption which is now infecting our county financial system? An answer jumps out at me when I finally sit down to listen for a few minutes. All of a sudden I start to hear some words about dealing with evil as the preacher is reciting II Timothy Chapter 3.
I went back and read Chapter 3 & found some profound answers way beyond anything I could say, but totally understandable. I had to read it all to understand, but beginning with verse 2, the light comes on - “For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accuser, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God, 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with diverse lusts, 7 ever learning, and never able to come to knowledge of the truth.” ....... Reading the whole chapter is enlightening & hits the subject directly! It was written for "Dandy Jackson" & the nasty scum bag who is dedicated to defending TJ & his elves. It describes Ms Nasty, who can pass for the captive silly woman laden with sins – wonder what nasty crap she’ll have to say about this. Wonder if Holt, Reedy, or Lovell ever read this passage? It takes tons of $ for TJ to instruct the little tads, right?
Could be Tandy since he is so spiritual. He asked a prayer group to pray an extra prayer for his brother because he now had a board that would not work with him and the children of Giles County.
Sounds like a rhyme - Tandy prays for a Dandy who is handy with the candy! I wonder which god they prayed to. Maybe they were talking about a preyor insted of prayer.

Have done it - Have you checked with the various authorities to ask their opinion - obviously not, because their comments are more blunt than mine! Problem is courts, politics, & state BOE corruption of not dealing with problems until it gets too hot to handle. The temp will rise just like like it did for a lot of other "untouchables" who have disgraced their office! I learned a long time ago that patience & persistence work.
"Rats always return to their source of food", & thus easy to eliminate when feeding becomes more natural than the instinct to be cautious when ther hear a noise, smell something different, or see the unexpected.

Yes, class would begin with honesty, but there are other components. I'm thinking about another one called teamwork (working together rather than constantly throwing stones and pointing the finger of indictment at someone else). In other words, you guys might be more successful in your attempts to right things you perceive to be wrong if you would stop the name-calling and smearing and offer a willingness to work together with those elected officials you so crucify. And I still believe the problem is rooted in the jealousy and resentment of one very politically impotent person who just cannot get over it...or himself!
Gotcha - Honesty is secondary to teamwork - true in the case at hand. A team of thieving liars is normally called a conspiracy - Maybe RICO would work to bring your group down.

I suggest that you read the entry by Mr. Barrett under the "Shirey Leaving Giles School System" dated September 21 at 3:59.
In that statement he presents an example of the corruption problem, the reaction by the legal system and why. Reading that should make your blood boil with anger. He even challenged Mr. Jackson to deny the facts of the matter and if he felt they were untrue to take him to court.
I for one would be very interested in your response to this statement by Mr. Barrett but please spare us all your feelings about Mr. Barrett and focus on the matter at hand.
They don't know how to do that. They are just interested in trying to shut Mr. Barrett up before he can pull the plug on them.

I came in the house thinking about all the garbage we seem to collect & let contaminate things we love. The TV was on & a preacher was reading the Bible & the words I heard were "Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness."
I had to sit down - hear & see. I rarely read & don't think I ever heard that message before. He was reading Exodus 23. Within 30 minutes, I could see why we have the insane problems within our department of education & why this nation is rolling over on its back. It has an answer, but we are too screwed up to even want to fix it! It hammers home the evil of the idiot who keeps challenging WAB & anyone else who fights evil.

After "hopefully" reading the post I referred you to you came back with one of the most detached, stupid statements any semi- intelligent person would ever voluntarily make.

Are you not aware or do you just not care how stupid you sound responding as you did.
First of all finding a "Man of God" doing what is right would never come as a surprise to me. I certainly did not see any "ranting or raving" in Mr. Barrett's statement. In fact I found him to be very clear and articulate in that statement.He did not demand anyone take him anywhere, one stated that he would be happy if Mr. Jackson would take him to court if he felt maligned, slandered or any other thing. In response to your last question I actually I find it rather mild considering the gravity of the situation and the charges.
I read that post. I do not agree with what was said in it.
I would prefer that we work with Mr. Jackson to get things accomplished as working against him to tear down our system.
All of this negativity, resentment and tearing each other down is really hurting our community!

Public education is invaluable to a productive & civil society. TJ, you, and your "system" are dedicated to corrupting it. You have managed to do considerable damage, in what you call success. One could sum it up as the difference in Christ & the antichrist. You understand and fear that.
You deceive, create fraudulent reports to fool the public into believing they are cheating you out of money, that you are spending their money to help children learn, that your are rewarding those who teach the children, while you are really wasting money on temples, images, and idolatry to a philosophy of decadence and devoid of the Word of God! Here is an example that most clearly shows this situation.
When the school system entered into a contract to build the ball field at Richland. The law was violated in the way the contract was let, in the way alterations were made, and the way additional money was spend without bidding out the work. The State Attorney General wrote that this was "clearly violations of state law" but "since there was no penalties attached to this law no prosecution would take place". He then stated that "breaking that law could be used to justify firing or demotions, or reprimands".
The school board chose to ignore the whole thing and swallow the additional cost created by Mr. Jackson steering the contract to a friend and then increasing the amount paid out without authorization.
Now so there will be no misunderstanding I'll state it this way, Mr. Jackson violated state law, committed a criminal offense, in this matter of the Richland contract.
And as usual our blind & deaf "Friends" of Tee Jackson did nothing!!! Since there was a loop hole for him to skate thru they let him.
If everyone had stood up & said "We are mad as hell & are not gonna take this anymore" then maybe we could have dismissed him for cause & run him on back down to Athens & out of our lives.
So stop saying where is your proof of wrong doing & turn it over cos' we did & nothing was done. Do your song & dance somewhere else for awhile okay?? He clearly does commit crimes & wrongs & is clearly applauded when he does by his cronies.

Change In Plans For School Board Retreat

The Giles County Board of Education has revised their plans concerning the fall retreat that was originally scheduled for October 10-11 in Rogersville Alabama. Those plans have changed.
According to Director of Schools Tee Jackson, the revised plan calls for the retreat to be held on Saturday, October 11th in the Central Office Building. The meeting gets underway at 9am.
Both meetings are open to the public.
Was this Tee's way of saying Bev don't get what she wants?

The 2nd meeting is the School Board meeting on 9th, at which time the board will discuss employee life insurance bids (thought this was up to Loretta Garner in the finance offixce), and something about a telephone arrangement. Got this off WKSR web page. Read it. Matbe you can make better sense of some of the agenda items than I could.
According to the news they are meeting at the Central Office on Saturday all day instead of two days in Alabama. Did we really want to pay mileage for the board to drive to Alabama for a meeting? Is there not already enough done in Alabama by the director? Why would we want the board to go there? How many members of the public can afford to drive to Alabama to hear this meeting? That idea is worse than having commissions meetings during the day when the average citizen has to work. I know that Bev had good intentions but it was a stupid idea.
The meeting was changed after I and others threatened a lawsuit against the Board if the meeting wasn't made available to the public. This was clearly a violation of the open meetings law and was confirmed by both the State Attorney General and the District Attorney's office.
I hope everyone will be able to attend the meeting, see you there.

Barrett, if you were at the meeting you know that the meeting was changed because the board did not want to go to Alabama. No one said that the wanted to go to Alabama but Beverly. I guess the two of you don't agree, huh? Why did you not advise her beforehand, or maybe you did and wanted the meeting to be illegal. It is not going to be a meeting only a workshop so I don't think it matters where they hold it. They are making not decisions on anything or voting only discussing.
To Oct. 3rd 10:27P.M. The only ones I've heard of that had family issues and didn't want to go to Alabama was Jim Greene and Kathy Norman. Is that you Jim calling Mr. Barrett's comments a bunch of crap or you Mrs. Norman?
And who but Bev spoke about wanting to go? No one. I was not there but I was told what was said. Don't know if it is on TV yet but that helps keep things with the truth. I am not Greene nor Norman either. Just tired of Barret taking the credit for doing everything.
Kathy Norman had some family issues to take care plus someone said her gall bladder was flaring up so instead of saying nicely to Mrs. Murrey about changing the retreat she tried to unsuccessfully push Murrey's buttons. She made reference to 2002 when Murrey objected to a retreat in Colunbia. It was against the Sunshine Law at the time because I was around. I didn't go either but was on staff and should have gone. This retreat was well under the Sunshine Law and NOt Barrett Law. It was on the news several times. Norman and Greene were the only two to object. The other's were looking forward to relaxing and openly talking about how to improve the school system. Norman has some real issues to deal with. Maybe counseling would help her to let go.
Transportation was never an issue because the school was taking a van at school expense.
Not so. Families were coming on their own with no fuel expense to the tax payer. Food was to be brought by individuals. Someone tries to do something right and try to help benefit the school system and it has to become some big monstracity of nothing but assumptions. It's a Damn if you do and a damn if you don't. The bottom line was Norman was not having any part of something she or Tee told her not to do or to do. It seems an 8 hour + retreat has been narrowed down to 2 1/2 hour work session. We'll see how Bev handles that!
The overriding thing in this debate is that this was not the first retreat the school board has held. They have gone to such places as Henry Horton, and David Crockett parks. They have met in violation of the "Open Meetings Law" at restaurants and in the Central Office.
The problem Mrs Norman and Mr Jackson had was the fact they could not pull this meeting off in secret. I don't know if it was Mr Barret, or Mrs Murrey or the new board members I only know I am grateful to whoever put a stop to it.
Jackson has always had them at Bank of Frankewing and open to the public. Norman and Greene are the ones that spoke up but not one person protested that they wanted it, the majority would have ruled. The work session is not going to be 2 1/2 hours it is all day. Mrs. Norman has a seriously ill mother who lives with her plus the gall bladder problems. She would have had to leave her mother in the care of her husband. Give her a break. Mr. Greene has a toddler that he would have had to leave at home with someone or leave his wife at home.
Are you saying that both Mrs. Noemans husband and Mr. Greene's wife are incompetent to deal with the mother and the toddler, my, my what do they do when they go to work?
Truth is he has not always had the retreats at the band of frank nor have they been open to the public.
In fact several meetings at Mrs Butlers were continuations of board meetings without the public.
The "meetings" at Mrs. Butlers were social events not meetings. There is a difference.
When business is discussed it's not social and business has been discussed there in direct violation of the sunshine law, just as they violate it when talking business over the phone with each other.

This subject is a thorn in the side of Giles County. Whenever we allow false witness and corruption to be the icon of Giles County, the good people in this county need to stand up and say NO!
Before we apply zero tolerance discipline to any child in the education system, we need to make certain it applies all BOE officials and employees, with a double dose for the administrator and board members. Deception, lying, and corruption are causes for summary firing & removal from office. TJ has worked hard to get fired over a long notorious period.
Tee cannot get fired unless people are willing to come forward with facts that can be proven to the DA. So far nothing has interested the DA. As far as the retreat went, it started at 9:00 and ended around 12:00 then the board played a game and ate. Several items did not get discussed I presume. So that means more work sessions for the board. Norman had her Gall bladder removed I was told.MRK

As has been suggested numerous times on this blog, if you guys have the evidence on Mr. Jackson, why don't you simply turn it over to the proper officials (perhaps it's the DA) and then butt out? Or would you say that the DA or whoever the proper authorities might be are equally corrupt? I've heard that excuse used before. No, I think you guys just want to cause trouble and malign people you dislike.

TOSS chooses by turns in the district. It was Jackson's turn to be chosen. It is done by the other directors in his district. Called TOSS to see how it was done
