Are People Getting Good Service from Public Officials
This topic was suggested by a reader who submitted the question, “Are people getting good service from the Financial Management Office”. I chose to open the topic up a bit more and include any and all departments. So please share your experiences with the different departments, who gets a thumbs up and who gets a thumbs down.

From my experience thumbs DOWN on JoAnn Townsend, Dan Watson, Loretta Garner and Janet Vanzant. UP on Crystal Green and Carol Wade.
Jeez don't ever ask that lady across the hall from Judge Damron'r court who sits on the left when you got thru the door anything. She'll take your head off!
Didn't get her name & shore didn't bother to after that!
But if you come in with money butter wouldn't melt in her mouth.
Maybe she was menopausal or something that day out of Prozac maybe?? Made sure never to use her again tho.
This is the stupidest subject yet, all you are asking people to do is gripe about someone. You know that people always complain about but very seldom praise. And I don't know anyone in the courthouse but every one has a bad day. You don't know what the person ahead of you might have done or said to make her day. You don't know until you have walked in their shoes. If you treat someone with kindness they usual treat you in kind.
You're wrong 6:54 some people are just plain hateful and should never work in public. If you can't deal with the public, all kinds of folks, you need to be in another line of work. If you look at the post on this thread of the three including yours there was good spoken of two offices. These comments should be used by those in office to cause examination of their strengths and weaknesses don't you agree.
I say a thumbs down on the highway dept after what Barry Hyatt screwed the county over the Julie Phillips thing.
When we called on the bull to service, we could count on two things happening. With a little luck, one of them would be a calf.
When you make the service call in one or two county departments, you can bet you'll be the cow & there won't be no calf commin.
These comments, (mine included) should be totally disregarded by officials as long as they are anonymous. This blog is good for venting, and giving people who really care about Giles CO a place to start investigating on their own. Nothing more with anon comments. (again am including myself)

my mistake that lady was on the right thru the door not the left.
And if someone in front of me made her mad why should i be the one to pay for it?? all i did was ask a question. Treat people how did you put that????
MAYBE IT WAS THE ATTITUDE YOU ASKED THE QUESTION..
OR
YOU ARE PROBABLY ONE OF THE LOW-LIFE'S THAT SHE HAS TO DEAL WITH THAT HAS A CRIMINAL RECORD A MILE LONG!!!
I KNOW CRYSTAL GREENE AND SHE IS ONE OF THE SINCERE AND COMPASSIONATE CHRISTIAN LADY'S I KNOW.
HER OFFICE IS ONE OF THE FEW THAT IS RAN WITH HONOR AND COMPASSION.
I would certainly have a very hard time believing that 8:58/9:43's encounter was with Mrs Greene. Anyone can have a bad day, no doubt, but she has always and consistently been a bright spot in the courthouse. Helpful and cheerful are consistent characteristics I have witnessed from Mrs Greene and most all her staff. Allen Barrett
Never said it was Crystal.
No i'm not a lowlife...I am a disabled citizen.
So it's still my fault that someone takes my head off if i ask a question??
Your stupid for throwing out all that name calling over something that you don't even know what lady answered me.
there is a long desk there & how could you know at anyone time who walked up??
So thank you for calling me a lowlife.
Says a lot about your character too!
Lets look back at Mr. McGill's office. He has 8 employees on the county payroll. Is this standard for assessors offices across the state. I dont know I havent researched it. I know in these hard economic times do they really need that many employees in this office. When I have been in there they havent looked that busy and they wouldnt even wait on me when I went in there. Are they so busy that they cant help the public or are we moving to a society where the customer doesnt come first anymore. I am not sure about all this so would someone enlighten me.
