WAB Are you saying that travel receipts have previously not been turned in?

I find it incredible that purchases up to FIFTY THOUSAND can be made without board approval. Thought the board got the message demanding change. Guess their ear wax is still in place.

What do you expect when the grand mayor appointed the very same board members?

Not many postings on this. The public sure got over the public hearings quickly.

My understanding is that many receipts were previously turned in but there was no official written requirement. Previously there were purchases that were made without prior approval of the Board. Allen Barrett

People have not got over it. Go drink coffee at one of the local hangouts. Ask twenty shoppers at wally world and see what they say. Even friends of those involved have had enough. Dan's and Jerry's and others. Ever consider that people are upset because leaders didn't get the message. Don't be surprised if they are waiting to clean house next election.

Let's hope so on the house cleaning at the city & county. Got some good ones that need to stay. Also have some real scuzz buckets. If they lie or vote for self interest dump em. Good slogan - dump-em & a name on the bumper

I think what you are really saying is dump those who don't vote according to your wishes. Have you ever stopped to think that they just might be voting more in terms of what's best for the whole and not for their own selfish interests? Or, have you been listening to the hate-mongering so long that you actually believe there's always something sinister going on or that anyone you disagree with is somehow a liar and crook? THINK!

Is it a spear
that we hear
with an ear
in its beer

Or another big wheel
with another deal
and plan very real
to plunder and steal

Citizens born free
are not like thee
for they can see
your lack of humility

Unlike those who disagree
a scoundrel you'll be
good dogs will pee
upon your knee

Mr. Frost?
May I call you Robert, or would you just prefer being called Bob? What a laugher you are.
Here's some prose for you:

Think for yourself
Or you will become
One filled with much anger
As the manner of some.

Those who would spew venom
Resentment and hate
Led but by a small man
Whose delusions are great.

Does it bother you any
Being presumed not too bright
That you don't know the difference
Between daytime and night?

You may call me Mr. Keats if you'd like.

That's your opinion and not mine. I would venture to guess that you are in reality talking about yourself. I don't depend on someone else to tell me what to think or how I should feel about other people who may not share my views. Think.

you won't be a peony

All puckered up so tart
bloated by big heart

till you have to fart

Poof the magic dragon?
you're a true idiot

Anonymous A HEARTFELT THANK YOU said...

I would like to take this time to thank Mrs. Vanzant for making the motion at the Economic Development Commission Meeting this week to do away with the Conflict of Interest within the Econ Dev Director and the City of Pulaski. This is a great deed she has done to protect the taxpayers money. I understand that Speer got a little huffy and made remarks about the County's Resolution stating that the Director of Econ. Dev. will give 100% of his/her time at trying to get industries and businesses in Giles County. Was that too much to ask? I don't think so. When you wear too many hats you begin to want to control too many things, and that's what is happening with Speer. So GOOD JOB to Janet Vanzant and all the Board Members for doing what is right and dealing with the Conflict of Interest problem that the current Director has. Taxpayers now will need to be aware of the money that is being funded to this cause. Make sure the money is being spent wisely and not for unneccessary purchases or entertainment. Thanks again.

I'm not sure but I heard it was to not allow the Economic Director to hold an elected officials position. Did I not hear correctly? Anyone else heard anything?

Thank you for the post concerning Mrs. Vanzant. I'm sure there's one who will not like what you had to say, but he just needs to get a life and get over it. I can't help but wonder what he will come up with to tear down or negate a positive post like yours.
Again, thank you.
