The Industrial Development Board Of The City Of
Pulaski And Giles County, Tennessee; And The Giles County Economic Development
Commission Have Been Named As Defendants In A Lawsuit Filed By Outpost Solar,
LLC For Over Eight Million Dollars.
It seems that there are many questions that need to
be asked but very few answers being given by those in authority. The newspaper
has had most all the information about this lawsuit for some time but for some
reason have chosen not to publish the story or ask the questions citizens
deserve the answers to.
1. What happened to Outpost Solar and why were they
forced out of business in Giles County?
2. Why is Outpost Solar, LLC suing the Industrial
Development Board and the Economic Development Board for over eight million
dollars?
3. Why has nothing about this large lawsuit been in
the local papers?
4. How much are the legal fees and where is the
money coming from to pay the very large legal bills in this suit?
5. Is there a line item in the budget where the
expense for this suit is clearly shown?
6. Why is City Hall so quiet about this matter?
7. Did Jim Greene Sr. conspire with Dan Speer to
purchase a building sell, all the contents then get a grant for the full cost
of the building?
8. Is the grant Mr. Greene received being reclaimed
the way the one Don Parr received is when Mr. Greene has failed to hire the
required number of employees. Surely it could not be a personal matter?
9. Are payments due on a loan with 1st National Bank
routinely missed then penalties paid with nothing to the principal? Could there
possible be too much conflict of interests between the Boards and the Bank?
There are many more questions to be asked but nine should be enough for the moment.

The Citizen only publishes what the Lake boys tell them to and they wouldn't want to embarrass anyone of their friends. The Citizen isn't worth the $1 to line your birdcage.
The comment from 8:48 couldn't be more true. You can't have a real newspaper that only prints material that certain people want printed.
Magnetti wants the property! Speer's plan was to get rid of Outpost Solar.
He even had the EDC minutes changed resently from 2010!!!!

Would you please rewrite question #8 of this post? It makes absolutely no grammatical sense the way it is currentlywritten. Let me suggest you first write a logical sentence concerning your allegation against Mr. Parr. Then write a question relative to that sentence regarding you accusation againt Mr. Greene. You are trying to say too much in a single question and you don't have the ability to do it.

Where is Rackley about this topic? I tried checking his site but I guess it was taken down. I guess his work was done after being re-appointed to another year of free meals as head of the EDC.
You have to wonder if this information was known by Ford and the Alderman or with held from them until after the appointments.

7:03 the money was reimbursed to Mrs Speer. Are you not aware that it is illegal to co-mingle government and personal monies. It's rather obvious that you are either speer or rackley unless of course you're just one really stupid person.
That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard since EDC turned around and reimbursed Brenda for the check she wrote. That is co-mingling funds. Why did Rackley never answer how this happened when he and Dan were supposed to sign off on checks? Why did Rackley not show any proof of his statements? I guess it is better he shut up because all he provided was excuses and half ass excuses at that.
What other funds are being co-mingled? We know Dan took $1000 of tax payer money for his own benefit and to promote himself and Brenda. Is their any more tax payer money mingling in the Speer estate?
If you are for saving money and you felt Rackley's explanation was anything other than stupid excuses for wasting tax payer money then get yourself examined in the head. Country club memberships, cable services, multiple phones, co-mingling taxpayer funds with personal funds, paying volunteer members of the board to show up to meetings. Dan using tax payer money as his own.
Are you happy EDC compensates the board with over $5000 of taxpayer money to give the volunteer EDC board members incentive to show up to meetings? And then turn around and ask the tax payers for $15000 more?
And what about hiding this court case from the public until after the appointments?

Looks like the newspaper is trying to catch up with a big headline and story about the EDC/IDB Lawsuit. Looks like Barrett created too much heat for them to ignore and cover up any longer.
I read the article in the paper and was appalled at the way someone who invested money in this town was treated. I have hear about some things that were rather underhanded but this situation is disgusting and everyone involved should be fired or sent to jail.
I find it very interesting that after a week there has been very little comment on this topic. Hundreds of thousands of dollars are spent by the EDC/IDB with very little positive results and now we find they are involved in a multi-million dollar lawsuit with unknown thousands being spent on attorneys. Taxpayers are being ripped of at so many different levels, we are paying for the expenses of these Boards, we are paying by not having more industry come to an unfriendly community, we are paying through our electric and cable bills, and we are paying with an unemployment rate that is out of control and we are paying through a school system that is dominated with a sports ideology that has left students uneducated and shuffled through the system. This may improve hopefully with new leadership.
The problem is that most people are just simply not concerned or they are too busy just trying to survive and provide for their families. It is past time that those in charge start providing answers for the way tax money is being wasted through personal gains, benefits and to feed individual personalities.

Why is the arrogance of some officials allowed to continue to cost the county millions of dollars? I believe it's simply because as long as it's someone else's money they see no responsibility other than to spend as much as possible.
It's my understanding that the Solar Ranch has settled their part of the lawsuit but the EDC/IDB have refused and settlement through the court ordered mediation thus they move to the next step while running up thousands and thousands of more legal fees knowing they did wrong.

And rackley sucks like a vacuum cleaner. All he did was flap his gums by way of disproving the documentation that Allen provided. Only an idiot would be convinced by something like that; kinda similar to cg and his proof that B "lied on him." Such bull crap and anyone with any intelligence knows it. It's a sad state of affairs when you have zero proof to refute the simplest of accusations. I wonder if rackley ever got a copy of the minutes to the meeting that he should have had in the first place. Seems like there must be something on there that he doesn't want made public. Oh well, time will tell.
