A Request For Records
This morning I submitted a formal request, under the Freedom of Information Act, for all records pertaining to the resignation of Dr. Webb. This includes his evaluations, counselling/disciplinary records, and any and all other documentation held by the education department and it's employees.

I hope this includes what Jerry Bryant is guarding and Doug Ead also. The public deserves to know the truth.

It is my opinion that Dr. Webb resigned because he did not want the public to know.
Mr. Barrett,
I think Dr. Webb's evaluation was pretty recent because a school board member referenced it at the last regular meeting, saying he scored 3.9 out of 5. That document should be pretty simple to obtain, but I don't think the education department would have it. I think those documents are kept locally at our board of education office.
Since there was no action by the board to dismiss him, but rather he resigned, there might not be as much of a paper trail as one might hope to find.

Sexual harassment. Not the first time it has happened but perhaps the first time someone called him on it.
Good grief. Extracting hard truths from this county is like pulling eye teeth without novocaine.
Rumors & innuendo run rampant in this county, primarily because there's no forward-leaning, energetic journalism. Where are our local 'professional' journalists? Or rather, where's their initiative? Kudos to Mr. Barrett for rooting out the documentation on this particular issue.
Quality, objective journalism is key to exposing injustices, corruption, and small-time petty misdeeds. The Founders considered the press a cornerstone of liberty. In this county, however, we're mere mushrooms ... kept in the dark & fed copious amounts of rotted compost.
To many people in this county are not interested if facts. That's why they attack Mr. Barrett when you writes them. The truth hurts sometimes. It moves people out of their comfort zone and into the real world.
Barrett just gave Dr. Webb a score of 90 out of 100. That is a pretty darn good score. I posted this already and it got deleted. Completely erased off of the blog. Barrett really like Webb. What does that say for Barrett?

If you want those records and any texts, email, etc. you should ask Dr. Webb's former secretary. Tt would be much faster if she would benefit.
Yeah, I heard her dumbass was going through his personal stuff and giving out information. She should be arrested. I also heard that Vicky Harwell was following him around with a camera trying to take pictures and videos of him doing something wrong. With idiots like this, it is no wonder Giles County can't have anyone good doing a job. Who would want to put up with these insane people. Webb got railroaded because he stepped on some toes. I wish someone would step on their faces to shut them up forever.

The kiss of death for Webb was when Barrett came out in support of him on June 13. After that he was destined to the same fate as the charter.
Wish Barrett had came out for Webb sooner if CG is right.

All this rumor-mongering isn't doing any one any good. If you catch yourself saying things like "I heard..." and "someone said..." you ought to put a sock in it. If you don't have the facts and the evidence to back it up, you are just willfully harming people about whom you gossip.

The same thing they always have that we are years behind the rest of the state.

Laughing? Not really, but good grief Cheatham did warn a lot of people in Giles about him. Now he will be moving on to another district to do more damage. Sexual harassment is the issue this time with him.

I received a great deal of co-operation from Mr. Smith and the other staff at the School Department. I was told by the Chairman of the School Board that all the records they have is Dr. Webb's evaluation. I have to say that not even that was complete. There is no recourse without going to court to retreive any other records that might exist.
If that's all they had why did Smith resign. Story and Webb may sue a few people unless they don't want something to come out.
Webb resign. My mistake.
We will never know what really happen. Where there is smoke there is fire. If innocence of wrong doing Webb never should of resigned and I don't believe he would have.

You are correct, Thursday, June 26, 2014 9:08:00 AM, but add to that multiple DUI's and bad management of our school system. These are not rumors, but they are FACTS. You Webb supporters need to get your heads out of the sand! Now we need to replace our school board members with people who will do what is right for our school system.
Webb was the best thing to happen to the school system in years. I know the 120 day contractees have bitched and complained and schemed - you know who you are- and some teachers have wailed and cried - poor baby's, and some school principals really do need to be replaced - it is sad these people and some central office personnel have set out to destroy a person based on their on selfish reasons.
No one is perfect and the very ones who have carried out this treachery are some of the biggest slim amongst us.
Webb is going to own this town if he choses to fight this madness and those of you who spread this craziness on this blog may go down with school board members.

10:29- they can't post facts because there are none to support their slander and therefore, no defense in a court of law. Last time I checked being an idiot was not a defense.

How can you post proof? The proof was what happened between Webb and other people. There is no way to post that. It is someone's word against Webb. By resigning he admitted that guilt. Who in their right mind would walk away from a job because someone accused them of doing something they did not do, you would stand up and fight to the end. Webb is not going to fight because he is guilty and he knows it. As to proof, what are you expecting for someone to post on here? I know the story on the street is video but I doubt there is much of that and if there is a chance of a court battle no one is going to post that on here for someone to get a hold of beforehand, I am sure a lawyer would say save it for court. If someone is making sexual advances you don't know that ahead of time to have the camera handy or say hang on just a minute while I record this. After the meeting where Green brought up issues people felt like they were not alone and could come forward and someone would finally believe them. It is hard to stand alone against someone of authority and not be afraid of losing your job, after all it is one person's word against another.
I was at the school board meeting and the question was asked, of course it was Mr. Barrett who did the asking, no one else has the gut, why all the information he had requested about Dr. Webb had not been given to him. The attorney apologized to him and promised to get the information to him within days so I expect to see a lot of new information put on here soon. I guess that will really send the enabler over the edge. .
At the time that Barrett asked for the information the 80 or so pages were in the hands of the lawyers not in the office. It sounded like those pages are only in the hands of the lawyers now, not in personnel records. Are you Webb supporters still doubting his guilt? Hopefully we can move forward with all this and get on with the business of teaching our children. Who do you think the idiot is now?

The accusations appear to have merit. Allegedly the proof lies in text messages which can be traced and printed.
Allegedly we didn't go to the moon. All that was filmed in a studio. One can allege anything.
What is your point, 10:45? It is true that allegations can be made about anything. Not all allegations, however frighten someone enough to resign from a job which pays $100k per year.
He must have gotten over his fear as he rescinded his resignation. I guess we'll know for sure what happened if the dumbasses ever decide to release the proof.
I doubt you ever see the 80 pages. They will probably go the way of IRS emails. Isn't that the Democrat way?
Anyway are they in the hands of the lawyer that said they didn't have to vote on the resignation?
