E-mail topic: Vanishing School System Raises?

I would like to know what happened to the $1,000.00 raises per employee that were promised to the school system employees? The commissioners approved the money for each and everyone of them. so the money was given to the school system but not to the employees... why?

Your comment could have been better placed under one of the other topics on this website. Please in the future pay attention to that. Comments and questions need to match the heading. If someone was not interested in the "Vanishing School System Raises", they would not have seen your comment and question being that it is regarding our current county exec.

The budget with the $1000 raises was turned down. The budget that was approved did not include raises. The commisioners refused to approve that budget. The teachers are getting a 2% budget from the state. Plus the raises were not actually $1000 they would have cost that much with matching taxes and retirement. The raise would have been a little less more than $900.

From what I was told the commissioners did approve the raises. Ask some of our comissioners if it passed or not! I did!! So what happened to the raises. Doesn't matter what it would have been after taxes they would have gotten $1000.00 more per year, this would have been a raise from the county-when was the last time they had one of those. The only way it seems they get a raise is if the state mandates it. Shame on Giles County!!!!!!

The commissioners had nothing to do with the teachers not getting their raise. The school system was given ample enough money through BEP(state) and the approved budget from the commission to provide the "raises" the teachers are entitled to. Mr. Jackson is the reason they are not getting the raise they so duefully deserve. Mr. Jackson is stashing away money to fund the building of the "NEW" central office and everybody that has any idea what is going on and has been involved with the goings on where the school system is concerned knows this. Mr. Jackson has become well-known to say he will spend money to do one thing and turn and spend it on something else. Why doesn't someone ask how much those lights we put up in the Richland field cost the taxpayers? This is one of many ways money(OUR TAX PAYING DOLLARS) is being spent frivolously.

Spending was $22,401,802 in 2003-4, It jumped by $1,343,000 to $23,744,802 for 2004-5, and up another $2,887,820 for 2005-6. The total 2 year increase was $4,230,887 which is an 18.9% increase. The $2.9 million increase for 2005-6 was Jackson's no new money budget! The budget data is on the 5-30-2006 Blog. We have an incredible financial mess, compounded by equal arrogance.

It's time to down size & eliminate the cause of runaway spending. There is no current incentive for saving or improving the efficiency of the work place. The current madness to spend more is so far out of control that apparently there is none left to pay the help! I know of no word to describe it - maybe bankrupt comes close. One might start by voting for the financial management proposal on the ballot. No matter what is done on the surface, nothing is going to get better until we force financial accountability and change school leadership! don m

This is in answer to the light on Richland Field. Have you ever heard of Title IX? The girls athletic department are entitled to the same as the boys. If they do not comply all federal money stops until the playing fields are equal. Apparently someone turned in the school system because suddenly things got done to change that. The only thing I am waiting for if something to equal the huge building at GCHS for the football team or maybe the girl athlete are being allowed to use it also, if not they can get in trouble. Anything that is built as multipurpose has to be for both boys and girls.

Okay, maybe I was wrong about the raises. I was TOLD that the budget had to be cut because the commission turned down the first budget and the raises were the first to go. I don't think that Mr. Jackson knows what is in the budget himself or can even read it. He will probably plead ignorant again like he did in court. He seems to have selective memory.

When I stated shame on Giles county I was not meaning the county as a whole just those who are responsible for not doing right by our teachers. Chris Morris is wonderful and I hate to see him go. But it seems some people do not know how to vote in change or they just don't want things to be different. Way to go for Beverly now lets sit back and see what happens!!!!!!

Yes, it is sad for Chris, but he is a grown man and knew full well the kind of person Mrs. Vanzant was and still fell for the “lie” and it politically ruined him and personally too.

Chris Morris is far from sad. Months ago he had decided not to run again as a commissioner and only did so as a write-in candidate following requests from dist 3 voters. (Not politically ruined)

Chris Morris did more for this county in the past 4 years than many of the commissioners who have sat there for years and still don't understand what they are there for - and God forbid - they got re-elected!

I'm hoping Mr Morris will continue to have an interest in the local politics and with his ability he can be very effective in helping the county move forward without being a part of the commission. (Not personally ruined).

TO ANONYMOUS ABOVE: If you really think you can handle or maybe I should say IF YOU ARE WILLING TO HEAR THE T_R_U_T_H_, why not give him a call and ask him for yourself? Or could it be that you would rather base your opinions on the hearsay of others? I have known Chris since he came into this world, and he is the type of person that will tell you the truth even if it something that will not be to his advantage. I can understand if you simply have a dislike for Janet, however I will never understand why you people who defend the almighty Vicky Harwell feel that you must attack everyone who has ever been associated with Janet. It is very sad that the true colors (and very unattractive colors I might add) of many spiteful people have shown through during a time when the right thing to do would be for NONE OF US to pass judgement until all the facts have been seperated from the fiction. I have a feeling that in the end we may all be a little disapointed in ourselves, for I believe there have been untruths told by all parties involved. You should be able to access the phone number to contact Chris on another blogspot, at which most all the candidates seeking office were listed.

ANONYMOUS DIRECTLY ABOVE:So I assume that you realize that my point has been made. You did say that he confessed to you what he said didn't you? What more do you people want from him? It takes an honorable man to admit when he has made a mistake, which is something that all the other parties who can't seem to let this go are most likely not honorable enough to do. What about yourself--would you admit you faults to others? I would suspect that you might not be so quick to do so yourself. Again, you said "go ask him if he is so truthful...he will say, Yes, I did do it??" Is that not the truth you were looking for? So how then can you still act as though he is not a truthful person. Have you never made any mistakes in your life? Or might I ask have you always admitted them to others. I think probably not. So why not leave the man alone....you have what you wanted from him don't you? Or do you? Maybe you never even spoke to him at all!!!

Dear one who wrote the letter,

Thank you for posting your side of the "lie" and especially contacting Mrs. Harwell. This is not just about the election, it is so much more and if you did nothing, this lie would soon be perceived as the truth to many more people and some still choose to believe it to be true. It is good to know there are independent thinking seniors that are willing to stick their necks out to finally let more of the public know the real personality of Mrs. Vanzant, our county executive. I know and understand where they are coming from since I live in the Bodenham area also and it was very difficult for me to finally admit the flaw in Mrs. Vanzant's character. I just didn't want to accept the fact because I love and respect Mrs. Parker so much.

I find it very interesting the rumor was planted in Kay Gibbon's office, The Register of Deeds. Now, I don't know if Mrs. Vanzant planted it because she knew Kay would spread it or simply believe it. Either way it has damaged Kay's reputation and she should at least make an attempt to address the issue.

It is also interesting to know Mrs. Vanzant has again started another lie to cover up the last one she told. The new lie she is spreading at Bodenham now is "Jodie can not go out in the yard to play without Mrs. Hastings's and some of her family blowing their horn and turning their lights on and off and he gets so scared and runs in the house. The big surprise is how she told that is the reason she can't live in town and lives in the country in Lincoln county.

These lies were used for her personal gain in an election and I absolutely have disgust and no respect for any mother that would stoop so low!
Will you be willing to come forward and reveal your identity if there is a trial?

Anonymous Anonymous said...

If I'm not mistaken, the raises referred to in this topic are actually raises that were approved for the school year 2005-2006. You are absolutely right in that the raises never reached the school system employees. I have been told that even though the Commission approved these raises, Mr. Jackson later claimed that this money was needed in other areas, and what's even worse is that I was told that he actually has the authority to make that call. I'm sure you would agree that there is something very wrong with this picture.

At the last School Board meeting, before the new members were to take over, the $1000 raiases were once again approved by the School Board for school year 2006-2007. This has not yet been presented to the Commission for a vote.

I would hope that someone will raise the question as to whether Mr. Jackson will again be allowed to keep this money from the workers that it was approved for.

I also wonder if this is really a raise at all. I have always believed that a raise was something that you continue to receive once it is given. Would that not mean that the teachers would have automatically been given this money this year also, without there being another vote to approve it? If I am correct in these beliefs, that would suggest that the $1000 was never meant to be a raise at all but simply a bonus for that school year only.

I truly hope that the Commissioners will address these questions before they vote on this issue again.

From what I have been told the commissioners have approved the raises twice neither time was it given to the employees and now the teachers union want a 2.3% raise-which would be nowhere near $1000.00(anywhere between $200.00-$500.00 a year)for the support staff and some commissioners have said that they would not approve another raise because the last two had not been given to the employees! Thanks Tee Jackson, you just keep on taking from the taxpayers and employees!!!!!!!

The teachers union does not negotiate for the support staff. The raises for the support staff are handled by the Board of Education and as per Mr. Jackson's letter the raise they are offering is $1000. At no time has the teachers union asked that the support staff receive a percentage raise.

I must respond to the above comments. The Education Association cannot, notice I did not will not, negotiate for the support staff. The Association has asked to be allowed to negotiate for the support staff, but until the Board of Education agrees to allow this they are unable to do so. The support staff is a vital part of the education system in this county and should be paid more than they are receiving. That is why the Assocation would like to negotitate for them.

When I posted on Monday, October 02, 2006 7:12:36 AM I was not pointing fingers at anyone I was stated what had been told to me. From what I understand the commissioners vote on a certain amount for the school budget but Jackson can spend that amount any way he wants, with school board approval. The commissioners have no say in the matter. However, this will probably change once the financial management is up and running.

1. It is a fact that the commission has approved raises for the school employees and Tee Jackson has spent it where he sees fit. Once the money is handed over to the school system by the commission they have no control over how it is spent, so therefore I don't blame them, they can not trust him-WHO DOES?
The commission give the school system $150,000 3 years ago for improvements to the school bus garage and he used it to pay for the studies and the architect firm for his new building. I have been down there and seen the water running down the walls when it rains over electrical plugs, shop floors flooded with mud, and this happens with just a good hard rain. The wood is so old it barely supports the shop doors they have to be consistantly fixed. There is no phase three wiring capability, breakers click off when the mechanics try and use several electrical items at the same time.
Buses bottom out to the oil pan where they are having to be parked on the hillside. There are holes in the ground in the area where the buses are parked from sink holes, the gravel is continually washed away leaving mud. the terrain is steep and for older drivers, or drivers with medical problems it makes it difficult for them to get to the buses, they have to walk up the hill because they can not park their cars beside the bus, most of them park in the Southern Family Market parking lot and then walk to the bus. If you would check most of the drivers are older folks. No matter how you look at it to get to a bus you have to walk uphill the only level spot is the front parking area.
No handicap accomidations.

2.The transmission room is upstairs with no ventilation, and just a hoist to pull the heavy transmissions(I would guess they weigh anywhere from 275-500 lbs) upstairs. There is no emergency exit in case of a fire. I have been told the temperature in that upstairs area has reached 137 degrees in the summer. The stairs that you have to climb are extremely dangerous-they are as bad as if you would climb an attic's pull down stairs everyday. One of the mechanics that has to climb these stairs daily has had several hip replacements. Also in that room the chemicals that are being used to clean the parts gives off dangerous fumes. There have been people who have gone upstairs and told the mechanics they do not understand how they can work in that room because of the fumes. The question you may ask is Where is OSHA-the room has been locked and from what I understand they did not request to enter this room when they inspected.

3.I have been in the construction industry for severals years and as you all well know sometimes things aren't worth fixing. In my opinion before the county has a major lawsuit the school bus garage should be condemed. I have seen alot of properties deemed condemed that was unnecessary, but this is one that should be. I can't believe it hasn't been because this is part of the West Hill School system built in 1930 if the records are correct.
This is it in a nutshell the bus garage is a poor, poor working environment and health hazard.
I applaud Danny Hickman and his staff for doing the good job they do with what they have to do it in.
Just want you all to know one of the running jokes around there is about one of the mechanics falling through the upstairs floor.
Something for you to ponder on, If these employees have children they can qualify for foodstamps based on the salary paid to them by the Giles County School System.

I can't see how Tee Jackson warrants a new central office building when there are other school system building is such disrepair.

You have to have the bus garage it is where the system starts, with no buses, no drivers, no mechanics to keep the buses going you have no school system. Cafeteria workers are there to feed the students, Teachers are there to teach them, Principals are there to maintain order, maintenance people are there to maintain environment, janitors are there to clean up after students, but back to that old bus garage without bus drivers, without buses, without mechanics you have no students. With no students you have no school system, you will not need Cafeteria workers, Teachers, Principals, Maintenace People, or Janitors so can anyone tell me different.
The whole school system support staff starts with that old yellow school bus.
If all the mechanics and bus drivers went on strike today there would be no school for how long? I have been told it takes 1 month to train a bus driver and I believe there are around 60 buses that run in Giles County everyday. And from what I understand there is a shortage of drivers now and all of the mechanics, shop foreman and secretary have been having to drive these buses morning and evening routes for the past 2 months. Here is a scary thought for all you parents out there who's children ride the bus, if the bus breaks down there is no telling what time help will arrive because the mechanics are pulling double duty as bus drivers. This is not Danny Hickmans fault, its the pay. They can't get drivers because they do pay enough. If you get the local paper they've even tried something new look in the Giles Free Press page B10 in bold HELP WANTED.
This is to the parents of Giles County your school system bus garage is where it all begins. You are urged as taxpayer and voters to stand up for them at all public meetings so they can help you.

Is it true Mrs. Murrey did pictures of the school bus garage and gave them to all of the school board members and the director? If so could she make copies for the county commission education committee. Jackson and the former school board had rather put looks before lives. Can the photos be put on the internet for the public to see and try to understand where the old board is coming from? I know I don't.

Out of Tee Jackson's own mouth he said the bus garage was an eye sore.
Thursday night at the school board meeting when Tee Jackson announced phase one of the central office building would begin he was asked about the bus garage and he said construction on it would begin at the same time.
Just wanted to let you all know the construction he is referring to is paving the parking lot, putting up a flagpole and adding a sidewalk including flowers to the front of the building.
With the information from the above post how in the world is this cosmetic coverup going to help those employees?

May I suggest you take time and answer my questions below with, Yes or No.
Have you ever met him and talked to him in person?
Do you know him personally?
Did you know he has a great wife and children?
Did you know he researches endlessly on any subject before he speaks?
Did you know if he makes a mistake, he would apologize and correct it?
Would you do that?
Could you write more than one-liners like he does?
And, before you start bashing me, let me say this, I have met him briefly about four times, met his wife twice and my opinion of him changed after I got to know him better. He is not a “know it all” and doesn’t claim to be, however, he has written more informational and educational post than you and I put together. Can you dispute this?
If he stops posting will you step up and spend endless hours researching and informing the readers of this blog?
He is more intelligent than I and I am not ashamed to admit it, are you?

They are of noconsesquence to him, he could care less where or what they work in as long as he has a nice plush office. He makes $91,000.00 a year + perks and gets a raise once a year from the state and the county-he makes sure of the county raises by getting 4 school board members on his side. He has been known to say all he has to do is make four people happy! With comments like that how can you expect him to care about anyone else but himself. With gonzales gone I wonder who are the next four board members he will be smoozing up to? I am 100% positive it will not be Mrs. Beverly Murrey or Mr. Jim Greene they have both shown where they stand on the matter of Tee Jackson. That leaves Kennedy, Young, Norman, Lindsey & Houston. Let's watch closely and see who it turns out to be, I've got and idea but am not quite sure yet. Time will tell!

Maintenance and mechanics are on the same pay scale. What does it take to cook and clean? Try doing without. Yes the mechanics have a lot of responsibilities, so do the maintenance, cooks, custodians, aides, secretaries and etc. They are play a big part in the school system. The only people that seem to get any credit are the teachers. Nobody is worried about the little people. Everybody says that teachers leave Giles Co because of pay. The turnover for the non teachers jobs is a lot bigger than the teachers.

I would like to say we all agree that the school system does not value any of its employees. I think it is a mistake to seperate the sections. All the employees are not getting paid what they are worth. All the employees are needed. It does take a village to raise a child!

Thursday, October 12, 2006 9:08:00 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

Just a quick remark-it takes attentive parents to raise a child not a village, that thinking is part of the problem also-Parents are responsible for raising their children not anyone else. You do not have to have the help of the school system to raise children. Home Schooled children are not taught by the village and they seem to do very well in society.

Now back to the subject at hand- no, not any of the employees are payed what they should be and will not be as long as Tee Jackson is the Director of Schools. He has his own agenda and that will not change. I don't believe the poster was trying to separate the sections, I believe they were just trying to let people know not only do the mechanics not get payed enough the place that they have to work in is dangerous, at least the other employees have a safe working environment-don't start on the kids-we all know the threat there. At least the other employees can be pretty sure the floor is not going to fall in under them, or a wall fall on them.

This will be a good time to express your concerns to the Commissioners on this Committee. They have some very important decisions before them, including the upcoming "REVISED" School budget. Isn't it strange that Mr. Jackson would need to "REVISE" the recently approved budget at an increase of over $1,000,000,000. He cannot be stopped without the input and support of all Giles County citizens. He is nothing more than a professional "CON MAN". Please do not continue to let him "Con" us and more importantly our children. Please contact your School Board Representative and your Commissioners and help us take back our School System.

I don't hink you understand, I have attended one of these school committee meetings and the public is not allowed to speak. You are told this is a work session. As with any meeting here in Giles County the public is not allowed to speak until after all the issues have been voted on. So basicly all you can do is let them know after the meeting that you are disatisfied with what just happened. Yes people can say let them know before hand, but things have a way of coming up during the meetings that has not been made aware to the public before hand.

I say we should just get rid of the school bus system altogether. Why offer free rides to school anyway? Take that money and either give it back to the taxpayers or pay your teachers a little more money. Sell the buses, and the land that goes with it, the garage and everything else.

Now, how would kids get to school? I guess their parents will have to take them. Tha might be a little inconvenient for some, but big deal. I am tired of paying for school buses. You could also privatize the bus system. Let each driver 'rent' the bus from the system and charge a fare - like a big taxi service. All you need to do is paint some checkers on there.

I also think teachers should be exempt from income taxes. How desperate are we that we tax those who have basically taken a vow of near-poverty to be able to teach our children? Let them have the extra 15%.

I cannot say that a petition would be the answer to the Tee Jackson problem, but it would be a start. That would at least give our School Board Members, who will be re-evaluating him in the near future, a clear picture as to how very disappointed we are in the mess he has managed to create while in this position. It is absolutely ridiculous that this man can tell lie after lie and continue to get by with it. Most of the public only know about a small portion of the money that he has misused. The school bus garage, for example, could have been repaired long before now, if only the money that was approved for such renovations had been used for that job, instead, Mr.Jackson has the authority, once money has been approved, to do with it what ever HE sees fit. The same is true with the SO CALLED teacher raises. How then can the Commissioners be expected to approve these raises, when there is no way to assure that the teachers will ever receive this money. One man should never have that kind of authority, no matter who he is and surely not with the track record that Mr. Jackson has.

The taxpayers of this county should not let this man have a minute of peace, whether it be phone calls or interuptions during his many "lunch meetings", until our voices have been heard and he has to answer specific questions with specific answers instead of answering with "we're working on it". WE HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW, when the work will begin, who is doing the work, and when will the work be completed. He should have specific outlines in place for any spending of our money and should be held accountable if that money is not used in the appropriated places.

We must not give up and let him continue to live his up scale lifestyle on our dime. Please attend the meetings when possible because I beleive we will eventually be heard. At least we know we will be seen and he will know we are not going to sit back and do nothing, which is what he is counting on.

OK - sounds like some people may actually appreciate a government provided free ride. In this case - a bus ride to schools. I rode a school bus until I was old enough to drive. Today, I drive my kids to school. My point was, how today's privelege becomes tomorrow's expectation. THe majority of this thread is griping about the condition of the garage? Mechanics not having a nice work place? Hey - their mechanics, have them fix the electrical outlet. Quit griping and stop and say, gee, all in all - it is pretty nice that we have a free service. I bet if I gave you a horse, you guys would go looking at its teeth.

How about this, make kids and parents perform for this free bus ride. Kids that fail can't ride unless their parents volunteer at the school. Make these parents come wash the school buses. Sure they will complain that it's not fair, but it's not fair either that parents aren't working with their kids at home. No time? Gotta work? Tough! Turn off the reality show, and get to work at home. Teach your kids proper manners. The human body needs only 4.5 hours of rest. Burn some candles! Stay up - make your kids do better, then they will feel like they have 'earned' the free ride.

Everyone deserves a safe working environment even if they are just mechanics. The fact is not that they don't have a nice work place the fact is they have an UNSAFE workplace. If you read the posts correctly they never said they didn't have a nice workplace-there is a difference between nice and safe-believe it or not. How would you like to go to work and have your foot go through the floor? How would like to get shocked? How would you like to have to lay in mud and water while working indoors? How would you like to be closed up in a small room with no ventilation and full of fumes? I guarantee if your working conditions were like the ones they have to work in you wouldn't be so negative about people complaining. Being is you think mechanics don't need anything better why don't you take a ride down to the place they work and see for yourself what they have to work in!!

Parents do work for this free bus ride as you call it. Every parent who pays taxes pays for those rides to school. No not everyone appreciates it but some do and if those rides give just one child a chance to better themself it was worth every penny it cost.

If your children don't ride the bus good for you, but not everyone can afford to take their children to school everyday-and if you haven't heard the government wants more people to carpool to help save the environment also if you would read the local paper it is safer for kids to ride the bus. Just think with all those kids riding a bus that is alot less pollution going into the air.

If a question is asked of him which he cannot or will not answer, Mrs. Norman will be quick to let you know that your 3 minutes allowed for you to speak are all used up. But wait, he says he is always available to answer any questions that the citizens might have. WHAT A JOKE!!!! He has no ANSWERS, only LIE after LIE after LIE.

The School Board Members will be re-evaluating Mr. Jackson in January. Please make every effort to contact your School Board Representative and let him/her know how you feel about the job (or lack there of) that Mr. Jackson has been doing for the taxpayers of Giles County. This is our chance to be heard and the elected representatives need to know how we feel before they make their final decision as to whether he stays or goes back to Alabama.

This would be a good time to start collecting names for petitions, to be presented to our School Board Representatives before that January evaluation.

Someone has to take the initiative in starting the petitions, I would love to but in a round about way I would put someones job in jeopardy-family member in the system.

What was his job in Athens and who hired him for the director of our schools? Please just judge him on his performance as our school director and not on what "dirt" one can dig up.

Let's see the commissioners gave money to the school system to give the employees a raise and I believe the only ones who got them were the supervisors, and central office employees. That in itself tells me enough right there. Does it not you and you can not defend him on that. He was given the money and he even told the commissioners that is what the money was for, the employees were told they were getting a raise and never seen a dime of it.

You can defend the man all you want but he has proven that he is not trustworthy. It would be in the best interest of Giles County if he would resign.

People are tired of what he is doing and those petitions are coming.

Mr. Jackson worked for the Athens City Schools. He was the Central Office, I think in PR. They took a principal job away from him so he could do no harm!

I am beginning to contemplate the idea of Jackson using the teacher raises just as a means to obtain money that he wants for other reasons and knows perhaps, the commission would not approve of the other spending.

Digging dirt (a deeper hole) will not help. It's a situation of up to the eyeballs in dung! Why not just flush it or shovel it back or it back where it came from? Scroll down to the 2 budget comments in May. There are some juicy violations floating there. Plus, the mystery money popped up again, before the ink was dry on the 2006-7 budget & now once again?. Check the dates of application and receipt of the funds - Get the same info from the state. Do the same thing for prior years.

Demand a consolidated budget with all funds accounted for, or NO (NONE)money. Demand an annual financial statement containing all funds, from the school department, independent of the TN Audit. Pass a resolution in the Commission to force it! This crap has been going on way too long. The solution works just like the handle on a toilet. Pull, swoosh & maybe Jackson will swirl away to Jackson instead of Alabama - (either one works - it's out of Giles County)

Guess what the pay raises were approved again, now lets wait and see if or how much the employees will receive! Does anyone have an idea of the amount approved for each employee? How much they will receive?

How about a post for Jackson wanting a new addition unattached to the old school board building to house 5 yes 5 people and the rest for storage downstairs. Who are the lucky 5. For sure he will try to have a pretty secretary or receptionist to look at. That seems to be his second big interest after the building being number 1. And yet Danny Hickman will be getting bandaides all over his building. Each night please pray that his staff and drivers don't get killed by electocution, heat exaustion, or aphixiation. Tommy Pollard is talking big for just one vote. People hold his feet to the fire to get the rest of the garage completed.

Nobody has even mentioned the "created" position that was conveniently given to the GCHS head football coach's wife - How is it that there are certified teachers waiting to get hired and TJ can come up with the funds and a position for her so she has a paycheck for the next 6 months!!! I may be wrong but I don't think the other elementary schools have a "Classroom Facilitator" for their computer labs.

What exactly are the duties of a "classroom facilitator"?

About the time he becomes a resident of Giles County or they move GCHS to Alabama. On second thought maybe she already works in the school system, has anyone ever actually seen Mrs Jackson and Ms Mc Masters in the same room at the same time together? Could this be a Clark Kent/Superman thing... that would explain many things at Richland.

He will never become a taxpaying resident of GC again-that would mean that he would be paying for some of the crap he is doing here and he wouldn't be caught doing that!!

Don't you people ever get tired of griping? Have you no other hobbies besides stirring up trouble and making slanderous remarks? Shame on you. You aren't in power, and you need to get over it!

Well everyone had better be prepared to be at the next meeting Feb 8, it is my understanding Tee Jackson is getting a big raise and an extrension until 2012.

School board meeting time changed to 6:30 pm. Be there or don't gripe. Norman and Jackson didn't want to change anything so the teachers and parents would be tied up at the parent teacher conferences.

Not surprising, Sounds just like something he would do just to get what he wants!
