Rescue Squad In Training.
Sunday 21 March 2010 the Giles County Rescue Squad held a training exercise by burning the heavily damaged Union Valley Baptist Church. This training included among other things smoke, ladder, hose and structure fire control. In the rain and cold these fine men gave of their time and energy to better prepare themselves to face future disasters in our county. I congratulate these heroes as should everyone and urge everyone to make donations to this most worthy organization. Allen Barrett

Good pict's great job firefighters.
it must have been a rude awakening to see the church you paster being burned.I too have spent many hours in the pulpit there, along with sunday dinners and good gospel singing. I remember it the last it flooded and certain of the congregation tried to save it.I knew there was mold and such in the building but it is still GODs house. I know it is going to be relocated .good luck & GOD bless
The Rescue Squad is AWESOME!!!!!
I am glad to see that they do receive special training. It is a State of Tennessee Law that volunteer and certified firefighters have to have schooling to do the job. I understand that some counties want to "opt out" of this and not require their firefighters to get schooling. That is cray if you ask me. Everyone needs speical training. It is for the protection of their own lives first of all. Good job guys. You are greatly appreciated.
Ditto... what whould Giles County do without you firefighters. Thanks you!
Good Job guys !!!!!
Thanks to the firefighters and all Emergency workers. Police, fire, EMS, Rescue sqaud, nurses, doctors, and anyone else I have failed to mention, is only because of my memory. Thank you all.
