What does the word “attrition” mean and why would it take close to a thousand dollars to find its meaning?

Now while it may sound a bit outrageous the motion made by Commissioner Reece was the only sensible thing left this morning after the unfathomable definition could not be determined by the Commissioners, the County Executive and the County Attorney.
Commissioner Reedy had given the most appropriate and sensible definition but it was unacceptable by some because it would not allow for what they wanted to do, so once again using confusion and obfuscation the County Executive turned something simple into a complex issue for a committee study.

Attriton means "loss" due to wearing away or wearing out.
It has several applications in various context ( ie medical, military, Law) but it has to do with LOSS due to various reasons.
In this particular case, it means the LOSS of licences due to change in ownership. Therefore the new owner has to reaply for the licence.
It isn't a word that is used in normal day to day launguage, but someone should have been able to google the word in the meeting and find out.
I mean if people are able to text in the meetings, then surely someone there had a laptop and could have looked it up.

Understand you can get a copy of the tape for use at home for a cost of $20.
You can go to PES and ask to view the recordings. When they get tired of the influx of people wanting to be informed maybe then they will make it available to the forgotten folks out in the sticks.

I have wanted PES cable ever since they started installing it in town. But alas; I happen to live just a half mile from the nearest service, and they can't justify the cost of running the line to me.
Funny when they were promoting expansion last summer, Barrett, Vicky and gang shut them down.

I must have been at a different meeting. At the public hearings last summer, the accountants for TVA said rates would actually flatten or go down with the improvements. They weren't made. Rates went up. Is that how you measure success?
you do know that the p3 channel that Pulaski electric broadcasts has an ip address and could be easily streamed on the Pulaski electric. economic development, city or county website for almost nothing and it would be available to every one with an internet connection. whether on energize broadband or not. 10:32 TVA rates had nothing to do with the loan that was being asked for backed by the city. The loan was to cover payments on other loans that they didn't have the money for. PES had no business competing with private companies, getting in the cable business or being focused on anything but providing electricity to the area. These other things blurred their focus and almost bankrupted PES.
