Glitch in the System

Google has again made some changes in its Chrome system. Those changes have resulted in several problems with blog administration. One problem is that it's now much harder and more complicated for me to sign in and post a topic.
Another change that has taken place and effects readers and posters is the unintended glitch that no longer allows viewing posts past 200 without actually making a post to that thread. Hopefully this problem will be resolved soon, I apologize for the inconvenience caused by this situation.

I happened to post the 'thank you' to Mr. Barrett, it was not him posting for himself. Anyway Dumb Butt, Barrett cannot make a post without his picture coming up on the post. That's just the way a blog works, once done there to stay.

get over it, and quit trying to be the victim, no one criticized you for being a Cristian.

People that read your posts are entitled to form an opinion about your character but no one did that on this post.

But since you tried to change the thread as a personal attack against you I will go ahead and appease you since that seems to be what you want. For some one who name calls, judges others, lies and enables wrong doing, how can you honestly state that you are a good Christian gentleman?

I'm questioning "good" as I have seen no examples in your post. Hatred, resentment, and the overwhelming willingness to go along with those who abuse power, at the expense of the tax payers.

"Gentleman", I'm curious to your definition as you may be confused.

"Christian", if you follow the teachings of Christ it is not reflected in your posts.

As you always state, I am entitled to my opinion and it is wholly supported on this blog.

I think the problem you guys have with me is that I don't agree with you. That being the case, you DO criticize me for claiming Christ in my life. So be it. I have nothing to prove to you. I know who and what I am, and I will stand firm in my conviction that what you people are trying to do is wrong. Ok?
Is that what this blog has become? A forum for your judging my life?
The only reason I ever mentioned the fact that I am in fact a Christian gentleman is because you guys keep on promoting that lie that I enable wrongdoings. That is a low-down lie. Accept it and let's move on. Do you have anything to discuss, or do we continue this silly game?

My hope is that opne day (sooner than later) they will wake up and realize that the hate and jealousy kool-aid they have been drinking (expertly prepared by the master troublemaker) is doing them no good. That's how I see it, and it's sad.

Again, a broken record. Just because you do not respect the American way of questioning governments actions, and our government does need to be checked. Wasteful spending, unable to control employees, and setting budgets that they do not have the money or cash flow to operate under, County Commissioners in the street cussing and carrying on, fund balances being depleted, while giving themselves raises, or more money to attend meetings.

At least I and others do not hate any one but would like to see, responsibility, accountability, and a government that is accountable to the people. That we do not have. But keep on enabling your friends.

For all we know you are an elected official or public employee so why don't you explain why you hate those that question the actions of our government, as is the way our system is set up? If you do not like the American System there are other countries with dictator governments and no freedom for citizens that you may find more appealing so why don't you move?

Please don't try to lecture me about respecting the American Way. I nearly died for that more than twice as a young soldier in war. Don't bother.
I have said many times that we as citizens have the right and duty to question government when necessary. You see, I too believe in the concepts of responsibility and accountability.
I certainly have huge questions about the Obama Administration. And just because there are people out there who support his regime, I do not hate them at all. Nor do I hate the man who questions local government. But the point you don't seem to get is that questioning them is by far different from calling them names and attacking relentlessly. That's my beef with you guys and particularly with your leader. Speaking of respect, had you guys tried respecting people who were elected by the people you might have found them to be more receptive to your ideas. But it's probably too late for that now. Does that trouble you just a bit?

No, I am not an elected official nor am I related to one. I am not a public employee. You guys love to accuse others of posting on taxpayer time, but that dog don't hunt either.
I have explained to you that I do not hate those who question government. Read my above post.
You talk about the way our system is set up. Well, let's make that same application to this charter movement. We don't need it. It seems there's a network of these little groups in several counties now who are trying to push charters through.
Sorry friend, but I fought for this country and have no intentions of moving anywhere.
Hope I've cleared up some of your misunderstandings. It seems I often have to do that for your leader. Perhaps his kool-aid is more injurious and toxic than either of us realized?

If CG was was in the military and actually served in a war then why is he ashamed to say what unit he was in?

It's unfortunate that you continue this fight with me. You can't seem to stand it that I claim Christ in my life and that I really am a gentleman. Were I not both, I would probably call you lots of colorful names that you falsely accuse me of doing to others. I have called troublemakers exactly that, because that's what they are. Christ Himself had harsher names for hypocrites and those who chose to sow strife among his fellow man. Think.
Yes, I served in the United States Army overseas, and YES, I saw combat. I've seen this up close and personal, and it's those like me who make it possible for those like you to complain, call people names, and get away with slanderous remarks that disgust me to the core. As for my military experience, I really don't care if you believe me or not.
Do you have an issue you want to discuss, or do you STILL want to continue this foolishness? I am a Christian, but you will not get away with trying to push me around. I don't cower. Perhaps I learned that from my military experience. Thank you.

No, anyone can write an epistle about anything. Look the word up in your dictionary. It doesn't
necessarily have reference to the Bible, and I was not making fun of barrett. Perhaps I could have said dissertations instead of epistles.
Now, as for barrett, I have absolutely no respect for him and actually doubt his sincerity in a lot of ways. Although I see him as a hypocrite, I suppose it's true that he doesn't appreciate being accused of being a fake Christian. I don't like it either, but we all have our opinions, don't we?
What unit were you in? Nice try, but you're not going to trap me on that.
Yes, I will vote for whoever the REPUBLICAN is who runs againast Obama. Why are you still beating that drum? It's making you look dumber than a gourd (describing behavior).

Every post that I have read on this topic seems to be written by really stupid people. It also appears that most of it has been written by only a few people that wanted it to look like it was written by many. CG is a moron, there is no doubt about it. The rest of you are just as moronic to argue with him. There is no way that Dan Watson is the CG. His articles in the paper aren't bad at all. That is just one of you trying to be a smartass like Barrett and make him look bad. Don't do that. It only makes you, like Barrett, look stupid.

If those of you that moved think this blog represents Giles County, you are wrong. This blog is a piece of crap that is kept going by one of the most despised men in this history of Giles County. There are no more than a handful of people that post on this blog regularly. Some people ever know when to shut up. I would say that Barrett, the CG and all the cheerleaders are in the same category. I don't know Dan Watson from Adam but his articles are a waste of space in the paper when so much other more important thing could be printed there. Has anyone read anything about the presidential campaign in the local paper or even much of what's happening in Nashville politics taking place.
I have felt the outright displeasure of the "natives" against "outsiders", they love our money but don't want us included in anyyhing else.I even been told in church I'm trying to take over because I asked to teach a bible class. Giles County is a closed community.

7:55 seems that you hit the nail on its head!!

Yes Garner did use funds from the restricted hospital fund; not only in Spetember but also in October, November and December.

Stoney Jackson brought this to light during the November Commission meeting; but he was waiting for another Commissioner to speak up during January's meeting. Yet, no one did.

I guess it is business as usual. Rules don't count; resolutions don't count and if they did the Commission will not enforce them. Regardless of any officials actions there is no accountability, no responsibility, no reprocussions and no penalty if you break the law.

Now there will be some who will cry out "Go and report this to the proper State authority" The State of Tennessee does not give a damn. This is a local issue with local monies and local rules and laws. If Giles County does not want to have accountability and reprocussions for unlawful behavior; Tennessee is not going to step in.

It is our local mess alone and Tennessee does not want thing to do with it.

Obviously, claiming Christ or good manners was not proof enough for him, because he kept on telling that lie.

No, he lied. That's a fact.
As for Haslam and Somerville, they impress me as sharks in the water when it comes to teachers.
Oh, and you asked six teachers? I find it impossible to believe that as many as six do not know what is being piled on teachers by those like Haslam and Somerville.
You should see that picture of Jim Somerville pointing his finger at the nose of a female teacher who was trying to carry on a discussion with him. You should see the scowl on his face. Ask some of the retired teachers about that. One of them showed it to me. It came up at one of their meetings (I wasn't there). Again, it's hard to believe that as many as six teachers in this county have no idea what is being done to them. Granted, all teachers may not know who Somerville is, and I would even go so far as to say that some don't even know Haslam.
But our teachers are NOT happy. I would hate to think I had to go out and find six right now who are.

The only thing Haslem and Somerville and Bass and a bunce more people are trying to do is get teachers accountable, higher pay for those who perform well, and get rid of those that are dead weight by reducing the power of the unions and lifetime tenure. I can understand why CG wouldn't want pay to be based on performance we'd lose half the people in Giles county government and of course he wants to keep tenure and the socialist pay scale. To bad he don't have the same concerns for the students.

Well good morning. I just got up and am ready to go at with you again if you so choose.
Your assertion that I want to keep some sort of socialist pay scale is a lie. Your attempt at reading my mind and intents of my heart really missed the mark again.
The statement you made about Eddie Bass is another lie. How do I know this? I have talked to him about this very issue, and he is very much displeased with what these people are trying to do to our teachers. He has no part in this. Now there is some truth for you.
I think most all of us would agree that teachers, like anyone else, should be held accountable...AND THEY ALREADY ARE!
Where did I say that I was never at meetings? Again, your words.
Ok, your turn.

7:57 You said you weren't at the Republican Meetings where people were suggested for the election commission but you wrote extensively about them even though you said nothing that could be supported.
You admitted you were not at the teachers meeting where according to you Sen. Somerville wagged his finger in the face of a demure passive teacher who was just trying to carry on a discussion, "It came up at one of their meetings (I wasn't there)", posted Wed. at 8:33.
I also heard about the "discussion"
and that woman was far from passive or interested in a discussion, she has been connected to the "occupy movement" and was clearly out of control and very disrespectful.

You need to wake up about socialism, paying everyone the same based on their existence instead of performance is hard core socialism.

You say Rep. Bass is not apart of the changes being proposed ask him if he supports higher pay for the teachers who are performing at higher levels; if he believes tenure needs to be changed so that the best teachers can be kept in the classroom instead of those who have hung around the longest. Ask him if he believes the state should continue to pay millions of dollars to collect dues from teachers for the union.
I never attempted to read your mind, your heart or your shoe size, I did however read your words and they are what formed my opinion that you are not only stupid in your statements you lie about them and you are a hypocrite on the lowest level of responsibility.

No, Eddie Bass is not cut fromm the same bolt of cloth as is Somerville and Haslam. And of course he favors better pay for the best teachers and for getting rid of the freeloaders. I think that, other than the freeloaders, we are all on the same page about that.

Does he agree with everything certainly not but then the Senator and Governor don't seem to agree on everything either. From your statement sounds like you are in agreement with me, the governor, and most of the conservative legislators on this issue. It seems very odd to me that a person who could hold so much desire to replace a politician would have so much trouble identifying what that politician has done to justify such a desire.
It's even more strange that one could be so critical and claim such great knowledge of that politicians activities and not even know the most basic thing such as his name.
Senator Jim Summerville R-Dickson
is currently the state senator for this district. He has done a great job with the bills he has sponsored and co-sponsored. He is a teacher and author.
Now certainly a person can support any candidate for any reason they choose you might support Mickey Mouse because he has cute ears That would be sort of dumb but it would be your choice. What a person does not have is the right to try and influence the vote of others using untruths and unsupported accusations. Got a problem with Sen. Summerville fine state what it is and why but isn't it rather disingenuous to hide behind the term anonymous and throw out claims that aren't clearly identified or supported. Your unidentified, unsupported attacks are very simply stupid and cowardly as are any claims that the claimer is unwilling to be identified with or refuses to offer support for.
