A proposal was presented to the Property Committee on Thursday to buy the Hunter Smith Building

Is this a legal way for the County to sell the building? I thought this type of action was required to go throught the bidding process.
It's better to cut the county's losses and sell this thing now!
One offer man get rid of that white elephant. Take the loss and put the thing on the tax roles so some tax can be collected on it. The thing has cost the county half a million already.
I still ask the question.....Is it leagal to sell the property this way? I think not!
According to research expressed by the Property Management Committee it is legal to sale real estate without a bid. Getting a bid from the agent was accomplished. Allen Barrett
I wonder why the HS building ain't been sold. The last i heard there was a lot of people interested in it. Mrs Vansant said people were calling her office all the time about buying it.
