The purpose of the "Giles Free Speech Zone" is to identify problems of concern to the people of Giles County, to discuss them in a gentlemanly and civil manner, while referring to the facts and giving evidence to back up whatever claims are made, making logical arguments that avoid any use of fallacy, and, hopefully, to come together in agreement, and find a positive solution to the problem at hand. When the park is finished the plans are to turn it over to the city as part of the park system. A warning was also issued that no one was authorized to use the park prior to completion of all construction. Allen Barrett

Wonder how much extra insurance the city will have to pay for this thing.
I cant imagine those women and families working so hard for years to raise the money themselves for this park, then turning it over to the city.
Why is it so hard to think someone is willing to work and bring about good things for a large segment of the city and county? These folks have worked hard and give of their time and resources and should be commended
for what they seek to do. Personally I think a skateboard park is a huge accident waiting to happen but wish I had one when I was young enough and able to use it. Congratulations to those citizens who worked so hard to bring this project to this stage and thank you for your gift to the city. Allen Barrett
Where is anonymous when wab post something positive. With all his whining and complaining I'm sure he won't respond to this post any more than he has to other positive post on this blog.

Uhhh..I think the person you refer to has stated clearly that he/she will not challenge Mr. Barrett unless he goes back to verbally mistreating people. Could that be what has happened? I think so. And THAT in and of itself is...let's say it together....POSITIVE!
