Due to overwhelming public demand....
...the "Bridge Naming in Giles County" topic has been deleted. Had I realized the pain this topic would cause a grieving family, I never would've posted it in the first place. But, alas, I knew none of the details when I got an email suggesting this topic. Sorry about that. I'll try to think through the ramifications of suggested topics, rather than posting them automatically, in the future. Meanwhile, those who would like to see more "positive" topics discussed on this blog, need only email their ideas to me: mcpeters@usit.net. Thanks.

Thank you Mr. McPeters. Your a kind man. Bev Murrey
Yes, thank you. I was shocked to see that that topic had been brought up again.
thank you kendrick!!
"Your a kind man" ..... Is this the same Mrs. Murrey who was recently elected to our county's school board? Hmmmmmm.
And just what are you trying to imply?
You've allowed a lot of comments on this blog site which has caused "pain" or harm to individuals and families. Why ban this one?
I have to agree, why did you take down this blog. I do understand both sides. Please tell me who first ask for a bridge to be named after some one. Please tell me, because I really do not know. City, County or State?
I, too, would like to know why this topic was stopped. After all, isn't this blog called "Giles Free Speech Zone"? How are bridges named in memory of someone? What procedure has to be followed? Maybe the question should be who are you and who do you have to know???? I believe the answer is obvious in this situation.
From the little information I have, it is a family dealing with a death.
That much is understood. There are two unanswered questions here. First, why was this topic stopped, and, second, how are names selected to name bridges after.
Sorry, I don't know the answer to either of your questions.
If this was such a good topic to address, suerly someone know the answers to the questions above.
Sounds to me the person that emailed the topic has a personal grudge on the naming of the bridge.
RICHLAND HIGH NEEDS ONE THING GET RID OF THE KENNEDYS AND HALL FAMILY
To the above post, this topic deals with the naming of a bridge. Perhaps you meant to post your comment under another topic.
Seems there are several people on this blog who have grudges.
