One More Attempt To Stop Citizen Involvment
At Fridays Legislative Committee Meeting a couple of new things happened. First commissioner Harwell showed up for a committee meeting for the first time in more than a year, this apparently so he could cast the deciding vote to prevent citizens from asking questions at committee Meetings. the second thing that happened was Commissioner Woodward made the motion and was quickly seconded by Commissioner Jackson that no citizens would be allowed to speak at any commissioner committee meetings. They have restricted private citizens from speaking at full commission meeting now they desire to control all questions at even committee meetings. Voting to approve the restrictions and prevent open access to citizens were Commissioners Woodard, Jackson, Terry Harwell and Louise Faulkner. voting against these restrictions were Commissioners Howell and Adams.
Thanks go out to Commissioners Adams and Howell with a Bid Thumbs down to those four who voted to prevent free speech and open discussion with those who were supposed to be representing us. Allen Barrett
