Bias In Local Reporting?
It seems that the Tennessee regulatory Board recently sent out a press release to all the news media in the state. This report identified businesses that were found in violation of state rules and regulations or laws.
WKSR appropriately posted some of those companies mostly those in other counties but one in Giles County, a business that failed to get a business license was fined $250.00. What was significantly left out of WKSR's report was the fact that Commissioner Tommy Campbell, doing business as a surveyor, was find $2,000.00 for unspecified violations.
Was this just an oversight or could it be that an attempt to protect yet another commissioner from public scrutiny? The only way it could have been an innocent mistake it seems would have been for the station personnel to have failed to read the release, but if they failed to read the press release how did they manage to identify the other violators?
When will the news be reported fully and without reservation for those favored in political positions?
