Giles Free Speech Zone

The purpose of the "Giles Free Speech Zone" is to identify problems of concern to the people of Giles County, to discuss them in a gentlemanly and civil manner, while referring to the facts and giving evidence to back up whatever claims are made, making logical arguments that avoid any use of fallacy, and, hopefully, to come together in agreement, and find a positive solution to the problem at hand. Pulaski Water Rate Increase

It seems with all the shenanigans going on with the county the city hasn't been getting enough attention and has slipped a real treat to citizens.

The Pulaski City Council voted on first reading to increase water rates almost 50%.

This was reported on TV 5 news last night. Nothing at that time had been announced on WKSR. WTVF reported that the increase would add about $11.00 dollars to an average water bill. I called the Recorders office this morning and was informed that it was true but that the increase would only be $6.99 per 2,000 gallons. After checking my last bill I find that would be about an $11.00 increase. -- Allen Barrett
